I believe the artist had been paid by the taxpayers. When Nancy Pelousi stated ‘if you want to make music or art your life’s work, do it! We will take care of you (in reference to Obamacare....obviously paraphrased). The way I see it, if you cannot make money with your music or art, or anything else you enjoy, you had better get a paying job until you CAN make money with your talent or passion. The taxpayers shouldn’t have to carry you simply because your music or art, etc., are’t good enough for you to get paid.
