DOJ Reneges Commitment to Provide Trump Russia Docs to Congress

The Department of Justice reneged on a commitment to provide access to documents they promised to congressional lawmakers by Thursday morning. Instead, DOJ issued a press release after midnight suggesting they will only meet with a group of select lawmakers to discuss the matter on the same day the North Korea summit opens in Singapore, according to numerous sources and a DOJ statement.

Moreover, the Justice Department also issued new stipulations for briefing congressional members and limited the meeting with only the Gang of Eight, which is comprised of eight leaders within Congress who are briefed on classified intelligence matters.

Don’t hold your breath. Sessions has been GOP insider elite for decades and decades. Only person who can remove him is POTUS only.

This is Session's place of employment. And Sessions is the boss.

If it is happening as it is stated, it is because Sessions wants it like this.

Trump must take the initiative - now.

(1) Grant blanket pardons to ALL persons touched by the Russia investigation.

(2) Declassify and publicly release ALL documents related to the Russia investigation.

(3) Let the voters read the documents and decide who is corrupt, and who is not.

Worse than that. I’m coming to the conclusion that Sessions was one of the planted spies.

He was the only Senate Republican to heartily support Trump, and it lands him this key assignment. Think about it.

Send in the US Marshall’s to confiscate ALL the documents

The US Marshals are part of the DOJ. They work for AG Sessions, who works for POTUS. In cases like this, POTUS either supports his AG and tells congress to pound sand, or he directs compliance. Failure to follow the order of POTUS would result in firing. Unfortunately, we are now living in bizzarro world, and the POTUS appears to have no authority over his own DOJ.

If the DOJ turns over a single document to the House committee demanding this information, one of the first people to see it will be that unctuous dirtbag Adam Schiff.

This alone makes me very, very hesitant to come down hard on the DOJ over this.

“It’s the same old games and Congress is facilitating this behavior by continuing this back and forth with the Justice Department,” said DeSantis. The lawmaker noted that Congress has the power of the purse and authority to follow through with the contempt proceedings against DOJ Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein.
**

I agree that this is unacceptable, and for Congress to allow it to continue just encourages more of the behavior, less cooperation, less expectation of integrity in the process.

I am not sure what we can do, to influence Congress to do something differently.

Congress should warn them that when this is over and they were hiding info they will be charged with obstruction of justice. Of course that assumes we get real leadership in the DOJ.

At this point this is all on Trump and barring a serious Pinochet style crackdown we are all to be slaves of the Federal Apparatchik allied with the communists and those who control the media and Hollywood.

If Trump doesn’t understand that when fighting communists the only chance of success is a constant and regular threat of the employment of violence, we will lose our country.

Peace is not an option.
