If the DOJ turns over a single document to the House committee demanding this information, one of the first people to see it will be that unctuous dirtbag Adam Schiff.
This alone makes me very, very hesitant to come down hard on the DOJ over this.

Doesn’t matter. The FBI has zero right to refuse to give any information to Congress. Period.
Giving it to Congress has to be less risky than leaving it only with the FBI who in fact is the actual criminal in this situation
