Samantha Bee on Wednesday opened her show by addressing the controversy surrounding her use of a vulgar term to describe President Trump's daughter and senior adviser, Ivanka, last week.
Bee apologized for the remark and for distracting the public "from more important issues."
"I hate that this distracted from more important issues. I hate that I did something to contribute to the nightmare of 24-hour news cycles that were all white-knuckling through," she said on her TBS show "Full Front with Samantha Bee."
"I should have known that a potty-mouth insult would be inherently more interesting to them [news media] than juvenile immigration policy," she continued. "I would do anything to help those kids. I hate that this distracted from them. So to them, I am also sorry."

Bee said that she had used the word on the show many times before out of a desire to "reclaim it" for women. But she acknowledged on Wednesday that she "crossed the line" and that many women "dont want that word reclaimed they want it gone."
Etc...

And she only used 'the c-word' as a means to empower women, to 'reclaim' the c-word for women.
All after-the-fact manufactured excuses.
The greatest sin the appropriately named Samantha “B” has committed is that she’s unfunny.
Baloney—You just weren’t expecting the blowback you’re getting, you feckless cunt.
You WERE the important issue after you got a pass and Roseanne didn’t. Yours was more reprehensible.
What horse manure! She makes a vile insult and gets more publicity that she would ever get and pays nothing. Who ever heard of her before?
There was no apology,it was a set up for a Cruz joke.
Eff this diseased ridden cu next Tuesday.
The heat is on and you are for dinner bitch bee.
So to some women the C word to them is the equivalent of the N word for others. It’s OK for women to use against each other as the N word is OK to use amongst themselves, but woe be to the bigoted, racist, misogynist etc. that uses it any other non PC time. They will be castigated and run out. Well there are 24 other letters in the alphabet for these ‘activists’ to choose what people can and cannot say in public. The fools will try and find a way to keep it out of private conversation next.

It's their word.
More important issues?
You are a “comedian”... (and believe me I am using that term as loosely as I can, because you aren’t funny)... You work in the ENTERTAINMENT industry, the fact that you believe that what you do for a living is so damned important, just shows that you are beyond delusional.
Then you should watch you say, c**t.
Samantha Bee = Skank
Huh? What are you Samantha Bee? A comedian (if so, shouldn't you be funny? At least once?)? A news reporter? I think she wants it both ways, a comedian who can report the news, but then retreat into the 'hey, I'm just a comedian' defense when she crosses a line.
And pray tell us, what was the joke in your remark about Ivanka? There was none! It was just a gratuitous cheap shock shot.
More important issues....She’s allegedly a comedienne. She’s liberal, so has political statements in her “comedy”. But she’s a comedienne nonetheless.
So which is it? Is she there for humor, entertainment, etc? Or there to make political statements? She’s angry that her word choice distracted from the more important issues?
She sounds like she wants to be taken seriously as some serious social/political commentator. But she’s got a crazy comic gig on her show. She’s cracking jokes, right?
I’ve never seen the show, so don’t know what her gig is about, but assumed it was liberal comedy from what I had heard.
This is her shtick.
She intentionally makes an outrageous comment to get attention and headlines and then starts to back off.
She does this repeatedly without concern for honesty or respect for anyone.
If she can dump on someone to get a headline it’s a done deal.
Imagine what would happen if a white male (or female) decided to reclaim the "n" word.
