An FBI agent got himself into an embarrassing situation on Saturday when his service weapon fell out of its holster while dancing at a Denver club and he accidentally shot a fellow patron while retrieving it.

Denver police responded to Mile High Spirits Distillery and Tasting Bar for an accidental shooting at about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday. According to police, an off-duty FBI agent was dancing at the club when his firearm fell to the ground. He picked the gun up and it went off, shooting another person in the leg.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in "good" condition, according to police.

Sure, they’re some good people at the FBI, but I’m afraid they don’t count just as the good Germans in Germany in 1933. If Trump hadn’t been elected, we would know nothing of the FBI or DOJ misdeeds. The organization is rotten at the top and at its core it’s very sick.

Look at the Bundy and Oregon cases. Those are boots on the ground or more appropriately boots on the face.

We should not have this type of all powerful Federal police force. The Framers would’ve been appalled at this police state.

Re-organize and down size this organization. Devolve their power wherever possible to the States. Eventually we will see the Leftists get back in and they will really weaponize these agencies against any opposition.

No doubt. It went off cuz he was drunk and pulled the trigger when he tried to quickly retrieve it.

Done several classes. No one teaches that. Carry guns stay loaded at all times. No one would take an instructor seriously if they suggest carrying a cleared pipe.

Not keeping a round chambered? That’s an unloaded gun. I’m not FBI, but I won’t carry an unloaded gun.

Thank you. My sentiments also. I wouldn’t own a
striker-fired weapon. I’ll stay with my SIGs with
visible hammer.

Bon Jovi warned us:

Shot through the leg
And he’s to blame
Darlin’, you give cops a bad name

An Agent’s smile is what they sell
They promise us heaven, then put us through Hell
Chains of love got a hold on me
When passions a prison, you can’t break free

Oh, they’re a loaded gun, yeah
Oh, there’s nowhere to run
No one can save them
The damage is done

Once you are in eminent danger its too late to chamber a round. Just dont pick 8t up with ypur finger inside the trigger guard.

Dude, the video is just a few seconds. I really doubt that you would have jumped him in that time.

We have insurance to clean up messes like this, just call my boss’.

Never mention insurance in a case like this (or auto accident). One
has no authority to obligate a insurance company.

"(G)locks always cocked. The first step in disassembly is to decock by pulling the trigger."
Bad advice. If a round was chambered you just shot something.

1) Eject mag.
2) Eject possible round
3) Inspect chamber for absence of round
4) Pull trigger - You cannot disassemble the weapon with the trigger cocked.

Posted as gently as possible.

In Colorado, one can carry in a bar. One can drink while carrying in a bar. One cannot, however, be drunk while carrying in a bar.

That's why he should be immediately subjected to a blood alcohol test. I'd say doing a backflip in a bar while carrying a loaded gun is good enough suspicion that he's lost any number of inhibitions.

Regardless of CO law, I have to think that the FBI itself independently has its own rules on gun safety &c that were violated here.

How many minutes does it take to rack a Glock? Most people could do it in between the initial draw and getting on target with no time lost.

You’ve thought this through. I bet he wishes he had. Either he was drunk, incompetent, or both.

Sigs and Glocks don’t have a safety.

Some Sigs have a safety. For example, the P238 (.380) and P239 (9mm) do.
