An FBI agent got himself into an embarrassing situation on Saturday when his service weapon fell out of its holster while dancing at a Denver club and he accidentally shot a fellow patron while retrieving it.
Denver police responded to Mile High Spirits Distillery and Tasting Bar for an accidental shooting at about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday. According to police, an off-duty FBI agent was dancing at the club when his firearm fell to the ground. He picked the gun up and it went off, shooting another person in the leg.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in "good" condition, according to police.

This org doesnt need additional bad press. The 7th floors got that covered. What a dumbass.
I would think one of the first things they teach you at Quantico is to keep your damn finger out of the hole when picking up your weapon. Maybe not wearing it during break dancing needs to be taught next.
I gues hes not firing blanks after all...
How about “Not keeping a round chambered unless in imminent danger”?
I can certainly believe that happened with the new trendy FBI.
“The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in “good” condition, according to police.”
When does being shot in the leg be called “good condition”? It wont be “good” when the dude starts suing the idiot and the Trump hating fbi..
It takes a decent pull to fire a pistol, unless you are stupid enough to carry it cocked. What an idiot. Maybe they should go back to revolvers. Though the idiot would probably walk around with one of those cocked too.
Remember that ATF fool caught shooting himself in the leg climbing a ladder with the pistol cocked in his holster? Don’t the Feds learn basic firearms safety?
DOH!
What happened to the safety?
This wasn’t an “accident”. With regards to the misuse of firearms, there are no “accidents”. This was pure and simple incompetence. His incompetence resulted in a gunshot wound to an unintended target. Said “FBI” agent should be fired.
If it has gone off when it fell, it would have been an accident. That it went off when he picked it up tells me he put his finger in the trigger guard and pulled the trigger.
That’s negligence, not accident.
Does this mean “Cop Rock” won’t be back anytime soon?
>>It takes a decent pull to fire a pistol, unless you are stupid enough to carry it cocked.
If its a striker-fired semi-auto, like a Glock, it takes 5.5 lbs and a 1/4 inch of travel even though it is not fully “cocked”.
Not keeping a round chambered? That’s an unloaded gun. I’m not FBI, but I won’t carry an unloaded gun.
FBI: Famous But Incompetent.
Some handguns don’t have thumb safeties. For example, I carry a Glock, which doesn’t have one. I wouldn’t carry a pistol that had a manual safety. The problem here was holster retention, not a manual safety.
I sure don't carry mine that way.
I blame the Russians!!! Definite collusion. Call Bob he has evidence now.
Those fun, wild and wacky “FBI guys”.
I can’t see the video. Is he black? If so racism is probably involved.
Every weapon with rounds in it is “loaded”. Unless you have a pressing need to carry Israeli, you’re better off not.
1. Safety is off.
2. Puts his finger in the trigger guard.
3. What’s he doing with a firearm?
