The Reality of Trump’s Nomination Accelerated Spying Earlier than Thought
Big League Politics ^ | 5/27/2018 | Larry Schweikart

Posted on 05/28/2018 5:58:21 AM PDT by bitt

On March 16, 2016, I posted on www.freerepublic.com that Trump would easily win enough delegates for the nomination, estimating he would finish with 1,300 (at a time when Nate Silver’s vaunted 538 and the Hill still said Trump would “fall more than 100 delegates short of 1,237.” In reality, Trump had 1,400 delegates at the Republican Convention.

Why does this matter? It matters greatly as more and more evidence of Deep State/FBI spying on the Trump campaign emerges. It matters even more because in May 2017, Senator Ron Paul said that “we have several sources telling us that mambers of the Obama administration were looking at politicians, particularly people who were running for office.” Paul wrote a letter to President Trump saying “an anonymous source recently alleged to me that my name, as well as the names of the other Members of Congrss, were unmasked, queried, or both, in intelligence reports or intercepts during the previous administration.” Paul ended his presidential campaign on February 2, 2016. That’s significant because it means spies were operating in the other campaigns as late as January 2016 . . . but when did they start? On March 4, Ben Carson ended his campaign, and one of his operatives, George Papdopoulos, transferred to the Trump campaign. It is widely speculated that Papadopoulos was an informant for the FBI, and offered a lighter sentence by the special counsel Robert Mueller in return for his cooperation with the FBI.

Absolutely they were spying, big-time, and almost certainly on Romney and others before.

I wish someone would ask Romney whether he thought the Obama campaign knew things that were not meant to be public - I suspect that was happening all the time there.

Someone at NBC should ask loyal Marco what he thinks.

Not only was Romney spied on but it is likely that the Obama people learned some critical information about him and he compromised. Romney did extremely well in the first debate and his campaign was doing very well. Very shortly thereafter he and the campaign tanked. He did horribly in the next two debates, Ryan performed like a fawn in the headlights against Biden and the energy from the campaign drained. Convinced Obama learned something devastating about Romney causing his to fold or else.

47 percent of the readers will already know Mitt's answer.

Who was the "spy" breaking the story with the clandestine video clip?

Agree - a lot of people do think Romney was throwing the election...quite possibly due to Obama’s spying. So I guess it did work there.

No doubt the FBI embedded spies in many of the GOP candidate’s campaigns. People who commit illegal acts don’t do one-of illegal acts.

The FBI was helping provide intel to Hillary’s campaign for three purposes:

1. Dirty tricks to attempt to ensnare GOP candidates in illegal actions which could then be exposed to the MSM to derail a candidate.

2. Espionage to gather inside campaign info and tactics to forward to Hillary’s campaign.

3. Blackmail/control of Hillary. A the recipient of the FBI’s “help”, Hillary would be indebted to the FBI for her election. They would have knowledge of her illegal use of the FBI to surveil her GOP opponents, because they did the surveillance. The FBI would then own her. That mindset is how the FBI thinks it is perfectly fine for them to order $70,000 conference tables.

“Who was the “spy” breaking the story with the clandestine video clip? “

I don’t know, was that ever disclosed? Perhaps it was the Deep State simply bugging EVERY ‘private’ event by Romney?

Romney cleaned Obama’s clock in the first debate. I have no doubt Obongo had the questions in advance for the next two. In Fact, he probably picked them. Everyone could see Monica Crowley was acing as Obongo’s ally in the second.

It was Candace Crowley, pal. Anyway, yea, she even LIED to make Romney look bad.

Definitely something was up...and you’re probably right. There has to be a way to stop the media from colluding with candidates, now that we do know it happens...

...perhaps have some huge number of potential questions (maybe 500 or so), give each one a number, and then publish them for all to see. Then have a PowerBall type drawing to choose the ones for the debate. Candidates would not be able to study-up and focus-group test questions that they knew were coming, because no human (other than maybe Trump) could possibly memorize that many responses.

After the Bernie rigging, I don’t see how or why ANY REPUBLICAN should expect fairness, based on the honor system for journalists.

Make it truly RANDOM and TRANSPARENT.

Sidebar 47%- Scott Prouty....the bartender with a camera.

Videographer - Scott Prouty (38 years old)- working as a bartender at the hotel where the $50,000/plate dinner was held. The United Steelworkers Union president, Leo Gerard, met Prouty through Charles Kernaghan, a labor rights activist who heads the Institute for Global Labour and Human Rights, headquartered in Pittsburgh. Prouty had gotten in touch with Kernaghan, who’d been researching Bain Capital and outsourcing as Prouty anonymously disseminated his video last year. Gerard said that union officials met with Prouty at the presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C., in January, before the videographer was willing to go public.

Scott Prouty - aka @AnneOnymous670. Prouty — who now tweets as @AnneOnymous670 — didn’t own a car, and spent his free time volunteering with his girlfriend at a South Florida SPCA, where he gave a HuffPost reporter a tour of the horse rescue operation (donate here). He said he worried about what releasing the video would mean for his employment and for the company he worked for. On some nights as a bartender for South Florida’s super wealthy, he could pull down more than $1,000, so losing the gig was not a thought he relished. But he finally decided it was his civic duty to release his film.
