WASHINGTON Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is among a handful of Republican senators expected to attend the controversial opening of the new American Embassy in Jerusalem on Monday, his office has confirmed.
The trip comes roughly five months after President Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and announced plans to relocate the U.S. Embassy there from Tel Aviv.
Cruz, who has long called for such a move, praised the decision as courageous and heroic. But many Arab and European leaders slammed Trump for upending a decades-old foreign policy in which U.S. presidents declined to weigh in on the contested city, leaving the issue to be resolved in peace talks between Palestinians and Israelis. Both groups claim Jerusalem as their capital.
Cruz will be joined by Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina

Trump!!
Opening the embassy will de-enthuse Jewish Dhimmicrats. Low unemployment for minorities will similarly de-enthuse those groups. Denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula will not improve Dhimmicrat support amongst Korean and Japanese immigrants.
WINNING!!! Blue wave - Dhimmicrats are watching the Tidy Bowl in action!
Thats my feeling too. As I said in an earlier post, I dont like them personally or politically - but I dont live in either of their districts so theres nothing I can do - but I am glad theyre going. Trump needs legislative support where he can get it.
Encourage them, dont shoot them down.
Good posts and agree.
Cheers!
absolutely right though Cruz did not vote for the Omnibus bill. Bravo to Cruz..one of the best senators in DC
Yes, yes, yes!
What you said a thousand times over.
The USA and Texas will be represented. God bless Cruz
Since they are not sponsors of this project, they should have to pay their own way. Dreaming again.
Good grief. Thats the last thing we need. Each person going adds to our national debt. Nobody but Secretary of State should go. Its a fortune to have her go.
All this hate for one of the most conservative Senators in the Senate on a site populated by conservatives. I realize it’s because he was a threat to Trump in the primary but it’s about time to get past that and focus on the real enemy which is the left.
Amen. Cruz has been loyal to the President since trump took office. This hateful impulse to (figuratively) put a bullet in the head of an ally is completely inexplicable.
Good for Lindseed and Ted for supporting Israel.
Long after all of us have been turned into dust DJT is going to be remembered as the President who moved his Embassy to Jerusalem first.
Cruz should absolutely be there. He is a strong supporter for Israel. Bravo Cruz.
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:3)
I guess that settles it. . .unfortunately we have both electorate and elected that don’t care and DON’T GET IT!
Cruz was booed for supporting Israel ...

Ted Cruz booed offstage after voicing support for Israel at Christian event
“But many Arab and European leaders slammed Trump for upending a decades-old foreign policy in which U.S. presidents declined to weigh in on the contested city, leaving the issue to be resolved in peace talks between Palestinians and Israelis.”
And if a US president had weighed in early this problem could have been solved decades ago instead of being a festering wound.
Thank you President Trump for showing Leadership.
Garden outside the US embassy
Well said, House.
Beautiful.
Best not to waste time on conservative98 — he/she has no sense, just a nasty bent against Cruz.
