FoxNews ^ | April 22, 2018 | Me

Did anyone else just watch Nunez on Bartiromos show? He was talking about how the FBIs Trump investigation got started. Apparently the evidence shows that Clinton associates Blumenthal and Shear gave opposition research on Trump to Clinton confidantes in the State Dept who then passed it onto the FBI to serve as information to begin an investigation.

“I believe the proper thing for me to do would be to recuse myself from any questions regarding those type of investigations involving Secretary Clinton that were raised during the campaign, or that could be otherwise connected to it.”

That was Sessions testimony to Senator Grassley. Seems to be pretty closely aligned with Session recusal statement, huh?

Isn’t there a state dept. watchdog, as Horowitz is to the DOJ?

I’m not a hair-splitter. A person says something, I believe them unless they are known liars. Sessions said he’d recuse himself from all things Hillary. Not only do I believe him but there is no evidence, outside of wishful imaginings, that he hasn’t made good on his word.

He ended that testimony with “otherwise connected to it.” Not her, it. Meaning otherwise connected to the campaign.

His recusal letter makes that clear and it is the letter that is the controlling factor, not his testimony. The letter is very closely aligned with his testimony.

The golden showers story actually serves multiple roles. That fact alone is a strong argument that it was made up; real life just isn’t that convenient.
Intended purposes: 1) outrage Obama voters into voting, since they were indifferent to Hillary; 2) alienate decent people from Trump out of disgust with even having to hear about such things; ESPECIALLY, 3) raise the question of whether Trump’s bad behavior left him open to blackmail; 4) attract huge media coverage by being sick and nasty; 5) return serve on the jokes about Hillary being incontinent; and, 6) defending yourself is impossible and only spreads the story.

It’s all too clever by half, and smells exactly like the sort of smear Blumenthal would come up with. Blumenthal might have had help from Russian intel, or he might have given them the idea to spread via Steele, but I bet the urine rail ends at his door.

Because his recusal letter lines up with the statement I quoted, that is what Sessions recused himself from.

But, you can believe what you want to believe.

Under the law, if you do not put something in writing, then your verbal statements rule. However, if you put it in writing, then the statement in writing rules. That is not hair-splitting. It is understanding the law.

But since you won’t even recognize his written statement, then you can allow yourself to place all the weight on his Senate testimony. That makes you feel right, so go for it.

There wasn't one the entire time Hillary was SOS. The current one has been there since September 2013. That was about 9 m0nths into Kerry's appointment as SOS.

Your scenario depends on Sessions being a brilliant word parser who slyly suggested he would recuse himself from anything connected to Hillary but who actually meant he would investigate certain aspects of her malfeasance that he could argue were not technically included in his recusal.

It’s going on 15 mos. When was the no-knock raid on Hillary’s house? Where, indeed, is one actual scintilla of evidence that Hillary is being investigated?

If lived through the ‘secret arrests/where is Podests,’ lunacy. Apart from wishful thinking, what is the actual evidence?

‘Under the law’

The law is inoperative when it comes to the anti-Trump coup. In case you hadn’t noticed, when it comes to destroying Trump anything goes.

Sessions heaping gratuitous praise on Rosenstein, at precisely the juncture when it became public that he was a key player in the illegal FISA warrant plot to destroy Trump, is only “irrelevant,” to the TRUST SESSIONS crew.

... why did hildabeast pay perkins coie $12mm for the dossier when they only paid british spook chrstopher steele $160,000?

where did the rest of the $11,840,000 goe?.....

my question, why hasn't the Mueller team raided Perkins-Coie and seized all their records?

No, my scenario relies on the recusal letter that says he studied the matter and consulted with experts, then decided on his recusal.

BTW, I am not pro-Sessions. I am pro-truth.

He ended that testimony with “otherwise connected to it.” Not her, it. Meaning otherwise connected to the campaign.

You left off the first part of the sentence including the word "or". It's her "or" it.

His recusal letter makes that clear and it is the letter that is the controlling factor, not his testimony. The letter is very closely aligned with his testimony.

His recusal letter is similar to what he said during the confirmation hearing under oath.

Confirmation hearing:

Written statement:

And of course all DOJ actions since, on the email investigation, the Clinton Foundation, Uranium One, the dossier and the FISA warrant have been handled not by the recused Sessions but instead by the compromised Rod Rosenstein.

It is still the law, and it still applies.

But if you’ve given up on that concept, feel free to move to a place where the law is equally applied to everyone. BTW, please let us know where that might be.

Pro-truth to the extent that you assiduously refuse to provide even the flimsiest piece of evidence that Hillary is being investigated in anything remotely resembling the unconstrained witch hunt Sessions unleashed on Trump. I say it’s all in the minds of the pro-Sessions crew.

Produce a shred of real actual evidence to suggest otherwise.

And when he said “that involve Secretarwy Clinton”, he preceded it with “those type of investigations”. That referred back to whatever was done during the campaign.

So, the “it” is the campaign, the the campaign is the controlling factor.
