U.S. President Donald Trump warned Russia on Wednesday of imminent military action in Syria over a suspected poison gas attack, declaring that missiles will be coming and lambasting Moscow for standing by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Trump was reacting to a warning from Russia that any U.S. missiles fired at Syria over the deadly assault on a rebel enclave near Damascus would be shot down and the launch sites targeted.
His comments raised fears of direct conflict over Syria for the first time between the two world powers backing opposing sides in the seven-year-old civil war, which has aggravated instability across the Middle East.
Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and smart!, Trump wrote on Twitter.
You shouldnt be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it! Trump tweeted, referring to Moscows alliance with Assad.

Then their are other issues and reasons at play. This is just a cover then.
I hope Trump thinks this is a good idea and he is not being forced to do this.
Bomb Syria.
Fire Mueller.
Dare Congress to do anything about it in the middle of a war.
Repeat as necessary.
Those are really interesting articles. I have due skepticism but that is why the American people absolutely deserve the proof that Assad and Russia gassed those people. I simply do not accept the CONCLUSION that they did with not a single fact that they did. I personally believe that it was the jihadis. There is absolutely no proof that Assad EVER use Chemical weapons ,in fact, the statement of General Mattis is to the contrary— that there was no fact to support the bombing last year. What are we doing?
That is all true, and to add to it further, why would I care even if Assad gassed Al-Qaeda bugs? That’s what gas is for!
I take some solace in the thought that my parent's generation grew up in nearly 20 years of depression and war and then things got amazing in America, at least for a while. Until the left started to wreck it starting with LBJ. But when ... if ever ... will we turn that corner?
It isn’t set yet.
Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Wednesday that the U.S. and key allies are still working on options to respond to Syrias suspected chemical attacks, and have not concluded who was behind the attacks.
We are still assessing the intelligence, ourselves and our allies, were still working on this, Mattis said when asked whether the government of Syrian president Bashar Assad was responsible.
You are exactly right about South Africa. We have the murder, rape and confiscation of all white farms-— ONLY WHITE FARMS!!!!!! Where is the humanitarian concern? Why are we not bombing those communist bastards? Why are we demonizing Assad with no evidence? Has trump lost his mind? What happened to the man we voted for— Did we just get duped? I hope not. We will soon know. Ted Cruz Ironically was called “Ly’in Ted” but I am beginning to wonder who the liar really was.
Obama wanted to intervene in Syria, but we, the American people, pressured Congress to halt the Obama intervention. It will be a pity if we cannot do the same with this Trump intervention. Trump in 2013 knew we should stay out of Syria.
Otherwise, bring all troops home, leave the rest of the world to kill each other off.
It has been a long time since Americans could go anywhere and not be touched for fear of American might. We need to get back there.
Russia has apparently blinked and is, by recent report a bit ago on Fox, pulling out the Naval forces and maybe others. Getting them out of harms way.
I want to thank you so much for that post. “We are still assessing the intelligence, ourselves and our allies, were still working on this, Mattis said when asked whether the government of Syrian president Bashar Assad was responsible.”
The statement of General Mattis is such welcome news that I almost was tearing up. I want to believe so bad that Trump has demanded the proof and this indicates that he has.If the proof is there then so be it!! Then this needs to go to Congress and a vote taken on going to war with Russia, Iran, and Syria over what happened. I would vote ‘NO!!” but we have representative government and if the Congress, duly assembled, vote to attack a sovereign nation over the use of Chlorine then I will SHUT UP. Otherwise I will not!
Reflex Action to ‘Russian Collusion’ syndrome exacerbated by his enemies.

I understand your feelings. There are two schools of thought. First, there may have been no gassing at all, The source of information was Jihadi. Second if the gas was used— who used it. We dont know the answer to either legitimate questions and ,in deed , fundamental to any decision. I think that Trump may have gotten way out over his skiis in his tweets jumping to non substantiated conclusions but I will forgive him for that quickly.
What is unacceptable is NO EVIDENCE resulting in a very dangerous confrontation and if we have the proof then he should go to Congress and let them decide as is absolutely required in the constitution without any doubt.
There is no way for me to have enough information to know whether this is a good idea or not so I have no opinion on it. I will of course follow any news with interest.
What if we determine that the best thing for America is to cut special exclusive ties with regional allies and vacate the Middle East as a major player?
The whole thing has all the makings of a staged, phony made-for-TV production ... and by this I mean the “gas attack,” the U.S. response, and even the Trump administration’s actions in the weeks leading up to it.
If that is what is best, sure. Put our troops on our southern border. Why not? But either way, Trump is doing what he said he’d do when campaigning, responding to the line being crossed. For a second time.
