Let me ask up this with respect. They lied about sarin. What else did they lie about?
And even if it was, is it worth WWIII?

Kind of ironic that those who slammed Obama for drawing a red line then ignoring when it had been crossed get pissed when Trump backs up the words....Obama handed this mess to Trump and there doesn’t appear to be any graceful way to manage it w/o either facing them down or ceding a lot of hegemony to Russia....which will cause meore problems down the road.
Did Mattis say it was sarin last year? I don’t think he did. Who were the people saying it was sarin? The media?
That’s why I had almost nothing to say about Obama on that subject. The problem wasn’t his failure to back up his threats ... it was making the threats and drawing the “red line” in the first place. That approach is a recipe for disaster because you’re effectively inviting bad actors to stage false flag operations.

1. Mattis yesterday afternoon stated they were still reviewing and waiting for intelligence.
2. This morning the DOD and State state that evidence shows Syria was involved with Russian assistance.
Things have changed. When you get your security clearance, I’m sure they’ll be glad to email you for deletion.
Yes many did say it was sarin - why? I think it’s to wind us up. I never did think it was sarin last year. But it is clear there was a chemical attack. And it’s clear we had proof it was Assad.
I deliberately avoid being manipulated into thinking things people want me to think when it’s opinion without proof. That’s why I hesitate to believe the latest chemical attack was a false flag just because people with no evidence want me to. I don’t know that it was Assad either but it looks more like that to me than false flag.

Note that the false flag mantra sets Trump supporters against Trump. Maybe that’s exactly what the people deliberately or inadvertently spreading the false flag idea want. Part of it is twisting Mattis saying they have no proof it was sarin. They leave out the fact it was a chemical attack, they have proof of it, but it wasn’t sarin. They are being deceptive. That kind of thing happening always raises a huge red flag with me.
No evidence of Syrian or Russian involvement has been found. If you have evidence and not conclusions based on hot air— Lay it out now. 1,2,3, go!!
Sarin gas was an absolute lie in 2017. We bombed because of sarin gas. But the larger point is that it was Isis Chlorine gas in an Isis factory. Mattis says there was NO EVIDENCE that the gas in 2017 was from Syria!!! NONE. And we bombed!!!! I think Mattis is the voice of credibility advising and has stopped Trumps “rush to judgment” especially based on the error of 2017 where we bombed and then it turned out not to be Syria.
I heard this morning something very important not known before. Newt Gingrich was on Fox and said that “Syria has now secured the area from the jihadis” and “an international chemical weapons inspection team is on its way and that Trump was going to wait for the evidence . THANK YOU MR.PRESIDENT.
