The Trump administration announced Wednesday that President Trump will sign a proclamation to send the National Guard to the border immediately.

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said at the White House press briefing that it would be done in conjunction with governors and that the administration hopes the deployment begins "immediately."

Is the federal government going to pay for this deployment? Texas taxpayers have paid millions on border security during the Obama Reign of Error, which is very unfair since that is a constitutional duty of the federal government. Every state that has been invaded by illegals should have to kick in to pay the expenses of the National Guardsmen on our borders.

I don’t think it works that way, but maybe someone else can better describe it.

I think that the national guard may be called up and used by the state governers, and some state monies go to supporting the guard costs. But the states get federal monies to maintain the guards, and they can be called up at any time by the national authority. I don’t think a governor can refuse.

The federal government pays the states (not sure what percentage) to maintain the guards. If they are deployed by national authority, (activated), then I believe the fed pays for that. That’s how I recall it working for Desert Storm.

That would be all 50 of them.

OK then unless the President is calling the Guard into national service then you can forget the California Guard being a part of it.

Beeeeeeeautiful!

And on Constitutional terra firma. Smart language referencing the governors, since the federal *mandate* is to protect the *states* from invasion.

A decision I celebrate and wholeheartedly support.

You are correct. In 1954 Governor Orval Faubus ordered the Arkansas National Guard to block the court ordered integration of Little Rock Central High School. An incensed Dwight D. Eisenhower used his CIC authority to Federalize the Guard, and ordered them to stand down.

Based on that precedent Trump SHOULD be able to override Brown's decisions on using the Guard. (I say "should" because the Ninth Circus is liable to rule for just about anything if it "resists" Trump).

They don’t have to do much other than be there in significant numbers. Don’t underestimate the deterrent value of a fully equipped National Guard standing at the ready.

If the libtard courts give him any crap, he can constitutionally call out the militia (that’s us, baby). I think a sufficient number of armed militiamen would answer the call to guard the border,

Section. 2.
The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United State.

I doubt that. They will split up into much smaller groups harder to trace.

This invasion is far from over.

You’re right; it’s over as of now. PDJT’s vow to “go nuclear” seemed to put an end to the northward march of the snakes. All he had to do was say something.

Since his inauguration illegal immigration has decreased dramatically.

As Greg Gutfeld says, “Trump IS the wall.”
