The Trump administration announced Wednesday that President Trump will sign a proclamation to send the National Guard to the border immediately.
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said at the White House press briefing that it would be done in conjunction with governors and that the administration hopes the deployment begins "immediately."

Outstanding and thank you for your insight.
Back in NYC in my bar fighting days, when the big brawl was about to go down, a short Irish guy usually asked if it was time to go Bananas.
It’s time to go Bananas.
My bet is some, not all, will be armed.
Helicopters and night watchers will be
shot at by the drug humpers trying to
get their contraband across. Especially
with more of the holes plugged.
Every bit of fence/wall and use of NG troops are force multipliers - it allows Homeland Security to focus on areas where the majority of illegals pass. Im pretty sure Trump understands this and wants to see results.
Great post - all should read
And Eisenhower also sent the 101st Airborne Division to “support” the Arkansas National Guard. Now, Trump can send the 1st Marine Division from Camp Pendleton to “support” the California National Guard.
LOL i would love to see that! Moonbeam would have a stroke!
Sounds like a scary post for the NG. Prayers for their safety -and success.
remember the Minutemen?
Would not be surprised if cartel snipers don’t take pot shots.
If any US soldiers get killed that way we should immediately secure a 10 mile buffer inside Mexico.
I was in the 101st in 1967 and our company was staged from Fort Campbell KY to an airfield outside of Detroit in case we were needed for backup for the 67 riot. Never were called into the city.
Hes a Trump Hater. Theres a cabal of them on FR.

I’ve noticed. They’re not just people who like the glass half empty - they want to empty the glass then bitch about the spilled water.
Fencing will be used until Congressvermin do their duty and allow Trump and BP to determine what kind of barriers and allocate the $ for whatever Trump and BP want.
The @neverTrump FReaks occasionally gain gumption when they think they smell blood in the water around President Trump.
They’re vermin. A dime a dozen against America, even here.

Ain’t that the truth.
They never fail to surface....like the predators they are.
I hope the administration won't be seeking the governors' permission or acquiescence to the President's plan.
I'm thinking Jerry Brown here. If he puts up a fight, he needs to be clapped in irons and hauled away.
I like to thrash them whenever I get the chance.
They need to be called what they are.
Don't be naive. Just because the Caravan is disbanding, doesn't mean the invasion has stopped.
The enemies who planned this, have simply realized that they inadvertently gave Trump an ironclad justification for closing our border with military power. Their objectives haven't changed in the slightest.
Unless halted with real force, the invasion will continue, as planned.
Yes, Minutemen! (Organized in the year 1744 and also in the mid 2000’s).
We need them now!
Sure it is. Meanwhile, a couple thousand more sneak across the border every day.
Stay resolute, Mr President! The invasion continues, and we need you to stop it!
Yeah, I was speaking of the latter ones. It seems a lot of people here dont even know about them!
“They ARE putting up FENCE, not a WALL.”
The bollards are filled with concrete and rebar, so they really are concrete posts. The heavy steel pipe on the outer surface of those posts, protects them from sledgehammer or chisel attacks. The four inch gaps between bollards allow anyone approaching them to be seen and constantly monitored - which has been shown to be a powerfully effective feature, much better than a solid wall in operation.
Call it whatever, but it is what the Border Patrol has found to be most effective. Better to use the best design.
