I intuitively interpret that as a signal of approval. I concur.

I am quite sure they were unarmed last time. Since in same support role, I doubt that will change.

"We will wrap up our work in Mexico City,

Sorry greasers like this who make their living and money on the backs of the poor people are all the same. Not worth the patch and powder but a well tied noose is always welcomed.

When they see their cash cow evaporate, they abandon the ones they are "standing behind" and are gone.

Depending on the number of NG it may well triple the US presence on the border.

Oh yeah, this caravan is too well planned to not have a few agent provocateurs in it. This is the Uniparty’s chance to get Trump painted as a brutal dictator.

I don’t think a governor can refuse.

Maybe The President will make him an offer he can't refuse.

Yes, enough and maybe close the border, that would be good. The secretary said some might even arrive today, anybody see more news on that?

They ARE putting up FENCE, not a WALL.

That "fence" is made of steel columns filled with concrete.

From the Washington Post:
“While citizens might imagine the National Guard patrolling the muddy cane breaks along the Rio Grande in search of drug cartel incursions, many of the troops instead serve as stationary observers, a kind of neighborhood watch with M-16s, often perched 30 feet in the air in skyboxes, portable watchtowers the size of phone booths”

Of course the guard troops are going to
be allowed to defend themselves. Drug
traffickers are armed. It would be
crazy to place troops in harms way
without the ability to do so.
But, not ALL troops will be armed.
Those in “rear” areas for logistical,
or surveillance support, probably
won’t be. Some troops were armed in
both Bush’s and Obambi’s Guard
deployments.

Natl Guard be heavily armed. They WILL try to provoke an incident.

I spent 11 years down on or near the Rio chasing these illegal grass crawling invaders.

You need to have thermal capabilities but mobile. Our best unit was a Raytheon Abram sight mounted on a Jeep with full control from passenger seat.

Night vision gear is a must for all boots.

Aerial support for logistics and positioning in the form of helicopters are very nice to have for both tracking and movement of troops to where the grass crawlers are hold up at.

Need local rancher support. Get to know these guys and their dirt like your sisters panty drawer. Some of these ranches down there cover a county and then some.

On the border damn near everyone grows up aiding and abetting the illegal alien trade. They start off making water drops on the highway, graduate to look outs, to driving vehicles and then to coyotes leading packs across ranches. The NG will not know who to trust in the communities or in law enforcement including border patrol. OpSec will be very important

There will be incidents with the cartel where the US better show them who is boss with ARMOR. Automatic weapons and pistolas do not scare them. Blow them away the first encounter. Take no prisoners and show no quarter.

Like my tagline says been there done that but ready to call the ol team back together. We did everything from track them, find tunnels with our blood hounds to all out rolling around in the sugar sand with them. I left a few 40 S&W slugs over there one afternoon when there was no other way out. In some places it is the wild wild west, No law West of the Pecos and the famous Nueces Strip alive and well today.

Waiting for judge shopping for activist judges to put a stay on this in the border states. Stall it long enough let the illegals flood in while waiting for over turn from SC

Don’t have to wait for any court. Trump needs to act on the authority of the Constitutional clause (previously sited) mandating his action. The Constitution trumps the Court.
