And me? I have Huguenot ancestry. Huguenots originated in France and many moved to the Netherlands when it was a province of Spain (including mine) before it became independent. French is a Romance language and part of the Latin language family, so I have as much justification to claim Latino origin as anyone else.

That’s what I told them on the 2010 census. They kept coming back to harass me. It is none of the government’s business how many bathrooms I have, what my education level is, etc., etc.
I DO think it is the government’s business whether or not I am a citizen. I am willing to answer that question. And I would like to see criminal charges and serious consequences for lying on that question.

Back in the 1970s, the euphemism du jour for Hispanics was “Spanish Surnamed Americans.” I had a roommate in college who got a full ride scholarship that was only available to Spanish Surnamed Americans. His last name was Sanchez.
He was mostly Irish (with red hair and could not to outside without getting sunburned), but his great-grandfather was from Spain.
That’s what I did in 2000 and 2010. It really p!ssed off the census-taker.
They have sent me that stupid long Census form the past two times and I have only answered the first few questions that are covered in the Constitution. Both times some jerk has come to my door telling me that I had to answer the rest and that I MUST answer his questions yet I have refused.
Each time I told them I answered only the constitutional questions and would not answer anything else and nothing has ever happened.
There are several groups out there willing to help pick a fight and defend the first person to be fined by the Census Bureau and I really think they know they will lose once it hits the SCOTUS, so they do not bother.
plenty of us are outraged without a out a real count of the number of illegals in this country.
i just need head out on the road or to a store to encounter enough of them doing stupid or selfish things like dropping garbage on the ground when trash bin near by, or driving improperly, or speaking foreign language more than english and they are the store employee! i tend to not shop places again when i encounter such situations but it’s getting more common that i’m becoming the foreigner in my home town.
Last census i thought some questions were none of the damned gub mints business so i refused to return it.
Two baboso’s showed up knocking on my door. I told them to get the hell off my property.
They argued and i told them they were tresspassing and to get the hell off my property.
Never heard from em again.

I always choose “Other” and write in “Human”
Showed up for Jury Duty selection and the Judge asked me about it, had me stand up and then she Clapped, and said she approved and said Thank you.
That was in January... I am now on a Grand Jury until the end of June

When the census worker asked me about it, I just said that I figured the answer wasn't applicable to counting citizens, and then escorted her off my property.

Same here except I asked them if they wanted to call the Sheriff or if they wanted me to, If I call they will be face down in the Sand Spurs with their fingers locked behind their heads (Black Scary Guns may be involved)... if they want to call, they can, but after they are Off My Property.
Either way if the Sheriff or a Deputy is dispatched, I am pressing Trespassing Charges.
I paused as I thought of the most important census in all mankind.. The census that made Jesus unlike any King before him. But there is no Christmas without Easter.
I recently got numerous requests to fill out a survey-—”A Community Survey” that asked most of the same questions I got in 2000 on the Census long form.
IT WAS NOT SENT just to the address-—IT CLEARLY was sent to my name. Finally, I got a phone call & I had to take the survey by phone——over 45 minutes of questions that didn’t help anything in this ‘COMMUNITY’. Many of the questions had to do with items that are public record at the County- & I said so & told them to go look it up for themselves, since ‘the county’ was supposed to benefit from my answers.
All in All, it really pissed me off. 4 mailed requests-—and then a 45 minute phone call on a Sunday.
Even more stupid? The lady going the questions said she does similar things for extra $$$..OK——But one job she said absolutely NO to:
A survey from Carson City all the way to Silver Springs along the Carson River to count the number of homeless living there-—over 25 miles at best-—BY FOOT.
FAAAAAR too much of taxpayers money is being spent foolishly on such ‘surveys’.
How about the forms that ask for ‘SEX”. I always have fun with that.....
I use a few different answers such as “As often as I can get it”.
