Trump Makes Progressive Democrats Go Left Toward Toward Socialism.
Take Trumps putting "Are You a US Citizen" on the next census. The Democrats and their minions scream foul. Yet Trumps move lets us know how many immigrants (non citizens) that we have. How else are we to know so directly. So the Democrats move even further left.
Trump say he will use the military to Fund some of the Wall and the same thing happens. Democrats don't care if they go so far left that they don't care about the dead ranchers and the drugs runners pouring across our borders.
The only question is how far left will Trump now make them go?
European socialism is an economic failure. It is about to collapse.
Russian (soviet socialism/communism) was a catastrophic failure.
US Socialism is also about to fail with the collapse of the dollar.
We cannot pay for those who do not pay for themselves at this level.
It is only a matter of time, and I even suspect sooner than later...

Does any created thing exist as the purely theoretical creation when it becomes reality? Capitalism doesn’t exist in pure form either as soon as the first charity comes into being.
Failure to be perfect doesn’t make it non-existent. Pragmatic Communism IS totalitarian socialism and that makes it something other than just socialism, doesn’t it?
The Progressive experiment believes that they can “progress” the human mind to the point where the socialism can be cooperative and, therefore, closer to theoretical communism than the totalitarianism of the 20th century communist states.
They really do believe that. It’s what makes them dangerous and also makes them vulnerable. But Obama changed them and seemed to introduce the idea that going totalitarian is the only answer and that makes them an existential threat. In the vanity OP, the writer thinks that forcing them to the Left weakens them. I say that it emboldens them to give up the Progressive ideology in favor of the Bolshevik ideology.
