Earlier today, Francis addressed the Conference of Rectors of German Language Seminaries, gathered in Rome.
The conference is taking place in the shadow of comments made by Cardinal Reinhard Marx, President of the German Bishops Conference, suggesting the possibility of blessing homosexual unions.
Those unfamiliar with this story would do well to read Maike Hickson, whose English language reporting on the activities of the Church in Germany is unparalleled.
As most readers likely recall, in a recent interview, Cardinal Marx said:
This [decision to confer a blessing on homosexual couples] I really must leave up to the local pastor and the accompaniment of that person.
He went on to say that there cannot be any general rules on the matter.

I’m not Catholic, but I could do a better job than he has done.
This is a sad thought
How long will Catholics follow this man?
So, he thinks ..there cannot be any general rules, does he? Well, we surely dont need him, then. The teaching magesterium is supposed to teach holy scripture - something hes patently totally unfamiliar with. Perhaps someone can give him a Bible ? Who can say, he just might read a little of it. Might. Maybe. Perhaps. Long shot, verily. But we may pray for miracles
This is the internet. Being in the shadow of comments is probably the best we can expect.

I am glad I am not a Catholic. Francis is not a real Pope. He acts like Gods laws are dispensable.
This is what inevitably was going to happen the moment they decided they wanted a High Priest like the Jews did.
I have many Catholic friends, and even a sister who is, yet for the life of me I cannot understand what any Christians would accept a man to be the voice of Go, when yo can go directly to God through Christ. After all, He is the new High Priest.
Swim rhe Bosporus....come home to Contantinople!
Francis has nothing to do with the Catholic religion.
He is just a man...a flawed man...who was mistakenly made Pope. He is just passing through.
Those Catholics who believe the tenets of the Church will go on believing regardless of this imposter. Perhaps he is a test of our strength in the Faith.
How long will Catholics follow this man?
Some will follow him to the last, bitter end.
Because leaving would be an admission that Martin Luther and the Protestants were rrrrrr....rrrrrr.....rrrrrrrr....rrrrright!
Whoa to those who cal evil good and good evil. Isaiah 5:20
Abomination of desolation
He is uniting the one world religion that will be lead by the false prophet. He may even be the false prophet. The time is late. Got Jesus?
But was it a mistake? I hear there is a large and powerful Gay Mafia inside the Vatican that forced out Pope Benedict and put in one of their own to lead. With Francis, they have cover to diddle all the little boys they want without fear they will be ridiculed or punished. IOW, there’s a Deep State in Rome to rival the one in Washington DC and they are just as adamant about remaining in power.
I’m sorry to say this, for I know many good and righteous Catholics who do amazing things, but this Pope is a clear and present danger to the Catholic world.
I think you are giving that man too much credit.
We recently had a leader that posed a very great danger to the US and the world, yet somehow, someone came along and slowly brought sanity to the people.
The same will happen to the Argentinian and I don’t think it will take as much time as the other problem took to be resolved.
Just my gut feeling and my gut is very often right.
Memo to Cardinals:
Next time DO NOT CHOOSE A JESUIT.
In History of the World Part 1 when nothing else worked they sent in the nuns ... but in a Romans 1:18-32 era (I don’t see how we can even try to kid ourselves that this isn’t happening all around us) the “comedy” would be much, much darker and more vile to even be close to accurate.
