Full title - BREAKING: California AG Threatens to Arrest Orange County Sheriff for Assisting ICE (VIDEO)

Orange County California voted to bypass state rules and work with the federal government and ICE officials.

And on Monday the Orange County Sheriff’s Department announced it will publicly post inmates’ release dates in order to assist ICE agents.

In response to this California Attorney General Xavier Becerra threatened to arrest Orange County Sheriff for holding criminal illegal aliens for ICE officers.

Attorney General Xavier Becerra: State law is state law. And it is my job to enforce state law. I will do so. And we want to make sure that every jurisdiction including Orange County, understand what state law requires of the people and the sub divisions of the state of California.

Reporter: Does that mean a lawsuit of the sheriff’s department or the arrest of the sheriff?

Xavier Becerra: I think I just answered that.

The correct question is which law takes precedence when State and Federal laws conflict. The answer is right there in the United States (not the California) Constitution:

The Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution (Article VI, Clause 2) establishes that the Constitution, federal laws made pursuant to it, and treaties made under its authority, constitute the supreme law of the land. ... Even state constitutions are subordinate to federal law.

Not everyone has a full pension...and the complete fool becerra has put officers in the conundrum of obeying state law or federal law...so they can be prosecuted under either law....they cant win...so they will go with the group which has the most power...and who gives the better pension( ss and mcr)...or a state heading to bankruptcy.. and who has more power...the states or the feds? Thats why they will side with feds.
Becerra is a delusional incompetent.

I had not realized that the OC Sheriff was a woman...

This is delicious !!! Dems cry all the time-—

MORE DIVERSITY !!!

MORE WOMEN IN HIGH PLACES !!!!!

MORE XXXXXXX and MORE whatever.

Here is a woman- who has served in both Los Angeles county & Orange county law enforcement & they are threatening to arrest her? They certainly cannot stand successful women, can they???

She isn’t ‘holding illegals for ICE’, as I understand prior articles. She is ANNOUNCING to the world on a very timely basis WHEN the county is releasing ANY prisoner....not just the illegals. That information will be available to lots of people. Not just info on illegals-—info on ALL releases.

Makes me think she is a female Joe Arpaio.

Change “California Attorney General Xavier Becerra” to

“California Lawbreaker in Chief Xavier Becerra.”

You can’t make this up. They violate federal law and call Trump and sessions dictator fascists for enforcing federal law, but then turn around and threaten to arrest all who disobey their illegal laws.

'State law is state law. And it is my job to enforce state law.'

But federal law isn't federal law? Isn't it the job of ICE to enforce federal law?

Don't expect consistency from the left.

As a matter of fact, we have several supreme court cases where states and local jurisdictions were told that they COULDN'T meddle in federal immigration issues. Now this Communist AG is saying he can?

Somewhere in California is the next Fort Sumter.

Servo, Has anyone (on our side) taken an inventory of federal installations in California?

so they will go with the group which has the most power.

No, they will go with the group that swings the biggest stick. And with Trump’s own administration undermining him it’s hard to see how that will be FedGov in the short term. There’s no evidence Sleepy Sessions is willing to engage CA any other place than court, unfortunately.

I have been an anti-illegal alien proponent since the 80's while in the Navy and lived about 2 miles from the Mexican border. They'd swarm through our side gate because we lived on a curved street that led due north. They would wake up my scared children as I went out to confront them many times.

I have supported and donated to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR.org) for many years. I was also a Minuteman and went to stand duty in Tombstone. I also worked with the co-founder Jim Gilchrist in his home across the hwy from me.

I ask residents of Orange County to contact their city councils and Mayors and demand them to join Los Alamitos, Orange County, and the White House lawsuit against the un-Constitutional CA bill, SB-54. The elite in Sacramento (CA capitol) have lost all regard for California citizens' safety.

Also, anyone in OC who would like to organize a "Support Our Sheriff" rally (or other name), please contact me via Freepmail. I've organized rallies before (ask Jim Robinson) and I will do it again. The following is info for the Sheriff Hq, and the sub-stations. Let me know which you can attend. However, I suggest not the main Hq because the town is filled with illegals. I don't want violent confrontations - just support for our Sheriff and the Mayor of Los Alamitos.

Sheriff's Office Main Headquarters:

Sessions needs to threaten to arrest the California Attorney General the second he does so

Someone has to wake him up from his nap first.

They would have to send the CHP from every corner of CA to take on the OC Sheriff’s Dept. Nothing would be more interesting to watch than the State’s Police trying to take out one of the more powerful Sheriffs in the state.

I remain skeptical.

“Also, anyone in OC who would like to organize a “Support Our Sheriff” rally (or other name), please contact me via Freepmail.”

And someone out there should advise the Sheriff to contact the local U.S. attorney and prosecute Becerra for intimidating informants/witnesses assisting Federal officers with immigration crimes.

Can’t imagine Trump letting him stay in jail.

Putting him in jail would amount to even MORE treason.

One day a firefight is going to break out between the Feds(ICE,ATF etc) and local police/state militia. It’s going to happen.

That wouldn't surprise me at all. At least when you're talking about police or other agents of the state. You'd have 2 groups of people facing off who think they have the absolute right and duty to kill anyone who obstructs or physically opposes them. I'd love to have that on video.

No Gavin Newsome is easily the next governor of our shithole state. No Republican is above 12% in the latest Jungle Primary polls. Newsome is at 40% and Villaregosa is at 23%.

75% of Californians oppose Sanctuary State policies, but 63% of Californias support a Santcuary State supporting Governor.
