am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.
He gets nothing out of it if he signs. A shutdown? We now have a shutdown that shuts down nothing. If he vetoes, he’s a hero.

Congress is no less a slime pit today than in 1777-78 when its feckless membership allowed the Continental Army to starve and freeze, many to death.

I don't like the giveaways but if POTUS can get rid of chain migration and the lottery I'm in. I'm betting he will see that there isn't as much pork distributed as they think they have won. It's the War not a battle that counts.

He’s threatening a veto because nothing was done in the bill to help the Dreamers! He did something the ‘pubs didn’t do in their total abandonment of their political base....make the Dems look bad.

Never trust anyone in Congress doing revisions, because they count on most NOT reading them.
This is a no brainer, and I'm surprised it took him this long to make them understand, No Wall, no spending.
I dare say the denizens of Washington who get so much of their income from government spending will shriek bloody murder if they are deprived of their income streams for very long.
Put them in a position of hurt, and keep them there until they fund the border wall.
As is often the case, he's threatening to veto this bill because it's obvious that the GOP will pay an awful price for it in November.

Excellent analogy. It was that stupid blunder that made the Clinton presidency possible. A tidal wave of misery and evil was unleashed from George HW Bush breaking his promise, and to make it worse, he got absolutely nothing in return for backstabbing his constituents.
It was a Yuge mistake for Chuck Schumer to brag last night that he was getting more done than when the Dems were in the majority. Schumer is stupid and full of hubris.
I believe it might be a “read my lips” moment if he signed it. I really do.
Bush was governing with the support of his own party. If you can’t see the difference now that is on you.
