Breaking on twitter: Trump threatens VETO of Omnibus Spending Bill

am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.

Paul Ryan won’t support him anymore?

Ryan throws some pretty words at Trump at a fund-raising event and is dumb enough to think that Trump will swoon and accept anything that the House throws at him. Trump has a lifetime of dealing with bullshit artists, and I’m sure he sees through Ryan like a transparent shower curtain.

Ted always backs stuff when he knows he is safe. He sneaks around to change his votes too. LOL

Hi Caipirabob,

We are still here - the silent majority who turned out for Brexit.

It’s hard over here - but the British heart is still beating loud and we’re in the midst of the same kinds of battles as you.

A tidal wave of misery and evil was unleashed from George HW Bush breaking his promise, and to make it worse, he got absolutely nothing in return for backstabbing his constituents.

This is the lesson that the GOP never learns, no matter how many times the democrats pull a Lucy with the football. Just a bunch of hapless Charlie Browns.

Please email the President right now and tell him you support him in a veto of the Omnibus bill:

If you have Twitter, tweet him as well @realDonaldTrump

Make Congresss come back and fix this abomination!

You are correct, but MOM MD was spewing forth an endless number of anti-Trump posts, claiming that if we had a “real conservative” in office this would never have happened.

I think it’s more than reasonable to assume that she was talking about Ted Cruz, and is a disgruntled Cruzer that hasn’t gotten over the primaries yet.

Possibly, but she could have just been worried. We are so accustomed to politicians like "George HW Bush" stabbing us in the back, that we are braced for it to happen again.

I think we are all worried, but I won't break faith with Trump until I see evidence he has broken faith with me in a serious and compelling manner.

Trump likes his tricks, and I think this whole drama theater is one of them.

You gotta love this man. He is so nimble but unerring in his pursuit of the main goal. Sometimes its not a straight path and I have to think “WHY” but then in a bit it comes clear.

POTUS is destroying the Democratic party, fracturing their historic base in a way no one dreamed was possible. He is exposing the leakers, the traitors and the criminals which will hamstring the GOPe.

Thank God!

We have learned much from the 2016 election.. The ‘conservatives’ who proclaim to be the most conservative are anything but!

This spending bill should be vetoed.

Planet Dilbert.

I shall endeavor to make my point more directly: Engineers, generally, have a collective sense of humor that many find peculiar. Obviously, you do not appreciate that sense of humor, and find it necessary to denigrate those who do.

I’m glad you have found a hobby, FRiend.

I don’t remember any compromise that got enough votes in the Senate. There was no bill that would have passed the House. If a DACA bill was sent to POTUS and he vetoed it, I would see your point.

Trump threatened to veto it so it's hard to say how many votes it would have gotten had he supported it.

While I’m thinking about it, if Maddog Mattis threatens to quit over funding of the military, I would say hit the road. POTUS has broader responsibilities beyond C-I-C.

I had not heard that Mattis was threatening to resign over the budget.

Paul Ryan and Ditch McConnell are completely worthless.

This was a huge FU from them to Trump.

For example, in Trump’s submitted Budget, Trump cut US Dept of Ed by 3.5 Billion. This Bill increases Ed by 4.5 Billion and kills or underfunds Trump’s choice programs.

That’s a 8 Billion swing just for Dept. of Ed.

Many in Congress are already back in their Districts. So, I doubt he will Veto this and shut down the government.

This is a Chief of Staff problem, Kelly is lost and does NOT know Congress and its maneuvering. Gingrich would be perfect and would stand up to Ryan and McConnell.

Perhaps. But they did rally and protest outside of Schumer’s home in January - that’s a good start in turning them against the RATS, IMHO.

I think you're kidding yourself. These illegals know which side of their bread is buttered and who buttered it, and a few being mad at the Dims on one issue won't turned them into Republicans.

He’s not going to veto this.

My guess is that President Trump will mention something about revisiting funding for the border wall at a later date. But the damage would be done at that point.

So true. Also, if you go to Speaker Ryan’s district in Wisconsin most of the Republicans there think he’s awesome and have voted overwhelmingly for him over the years. We sometimes forget that FR is just a small patch in a huge field. There are a ton of Americans who have no clue who and what the Deep State though that may be changing. The bottom line is our side still votes for traitors like McConnell, Graham, and Ryan. We can’t fix the problem in DC if we ourselves keep voting for the people who caused it!

And don’t get me wrong. I think the President should veto the bill because the end result will be a $1 trillion-plus deficit for this year. That is reason enough. Don’t say it’s over DACA or any other patently nonsensical excuse.
