am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.
And I'm not even questioning what Trump is threatening to do ... only his real motivations!

You are correct, but MOM MD was spewing forth an endless number of anti-Trump posts, claiming that if we had a “real conservative” in office this would never have happened.
I think it’s more than reasonable to assume that she was talking about Ted Cruz, and is a disgruntled Cruzer that hasn’t gotten over the primaries yet.
He’s giving McConnell and Ryan and their dates Schumer and Pelosi the Raspberry.

The media and the Democrats will point out that a couple of weeks ago they had a compromise that took care of DACA and fully funded the wall but Trump threatened to veto it. Now he's vetoing the budget because it didn't take care of DACA and fund the wall?
Those that support Trump will be upset that he shut the government down over DACA. Those who don't support Trump will not believe that he cares a whit for DACA. Like you said, there are many reasons to veto this bill but latching on to DACA for his excuse will backfire. I hope the President comes up with a better reason.

Don’t just threaten to veto it, ACTUALLY veto it.
It’ll throw the opposition (in both parties) back on their heels. They think that they’ve put one over on Trump, that they’ve found the way around him via spending...and he HAS to let them know that he understands - and will not tolerate - their game. He needs to be very in-your-face about it.
Veto it, and do so in front of cameras while stating that when Congress funds the border wall in full, addresses DACA and other security-related immigration issues, cuts taxpayer funding of abortion via Planned Parenthood and cuts the total amount of spending by at least $50 billion, THEN he’ll sign the budget they send him.
Trump is the only guy, besides maybe a dozen Senators and 2 dozen House members, who actually represents the people of this country. Right now he’s the only one who can stop this crap. That is the very reason he was elected...so he better damned well veto this thing.
And if you think there is a label that works to define POTUS so are you.
