Global bank Citi is starting a new commercial firearms policy within the U.S. "to do our part as a company to prevent firearms from getting into the wrong hands," the company said today.
The new policy requires its new retail sector clients and partners to follow several practices: not sell guns to someone who didn't pass a background check; not sell bump stocks and high-capacity magazines; and not sell guns to people under 21 years old.
Ed Skyler, Citi's head of global public affairs, said Citi has a few relationships with companies that manufacture guns, and for those relationships, "We will be initiating due diligence conversations on the subject to better understand what products they make, what markets and retailers they sell to and what sales practices those retailers follow to ensure adherence to the best practices."

Not a Citibank customer, and now I’ll never be one.

Corporate America gets into the gun-grabbing game.

Indeed. They tried through Obama Executive Orders. They tried through state and federal legislation.
Now they will try and grab your guns through the Free Market.

See post 9. File a complaint with CFPB before you close. You must have an account to complain (they want contact info, but you don’t have to provide card number).
Citi makes the huge mistake of thinking loud=many.
They will pay for this massive blunder.
Yup, denying USA citizens their God given rights, is doing the right thing. Wait a minute...
They think criminals contact some nefarious gun dealer - GIVE THEM THEIR FRICKING CREDITCARD NUMBER, and get the weapon in the mail?
Is THAT how they think it works?
Sorry ***holes but you don’t have a “part” to “do” unless you are a communist organization. If that’s the case, you may want to notify your customers of that fact.
Anyone who has a Sears Card is, and it is just such relationships (Sears selling guns yet?) and Citi the credit supplier where both are going to feel the pinch.
If someone as smart as our current President was CEO of a bank, he would publish a welcome mat of programs to handle the moneys of gun manufacturers, distributors, retailers and buyers, and clean up.
