More California cities may consider defying the states sanctuary state laws, after the city council of Los Alamitos passed an ordinance defying the states controversial new legislation preventing cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
Leaders of Los Alamitos, in Orange County, passed the ordinance 4-1 and instructed the city attorney to file an amicus brief in the ongoing Department of Justice lawsuit against the State of California. The lawsuit challenges the Immigrant Worker Protection Act (HB 450), the Inspection and Review of Facilities Housing Federal Detainees law (AB 103); and the California Values Act (SB 54).
The Orange County Register reports that other cities and even Orange County itself are now thinking of following suit (original links):
- The County of Orange and several cities in Southern California soon might join Los Alamitos in its bid to opt out of a controversial state law that limits cooperation with federal immigration officials.
- Officials with the county as well as leaders in Aliso Viejo and Buena Park said Tuesday they plan to push for various versions of the anti-sanctuary ordinance approved in Los Alamitos late Monday by a 4-1 vote of that city council.
- Immigration advocates said Los Alamitos and cities and counties that follow its opt-out ordinance will be violating state law and at risk of litigation.

There is no such thing as a moderate or conservative Democrat. Any Dem who presents him/herself as such is lying to get your vote. Especially in CA, they are all literal neo-Marxists at best or flat out communists at worst. Also, the primary system in CA is not open, it is a jungle primary system. Two top vote getters in primary regardless of party face off in general election. Between allowing illegals to vote, gerrymandered districts and jungle primary, general elections frequently have zero Republicans on the ballot. It’s a rigged system in the truest sense of the term.

Reminds of when all of those cities in Texas and other states refused to accept 0s unaccompanied minors/future Dem voter, freeloading crooks.

Ellis guided a thousand or more people out of East TN into Union held Kentucky then later to Knoxville. A great read.
The best take-away I got from the book is when in trouble always run uphill.
Heard Cox is a Never Trumper. Sounds like another Arnold. Im voting for Travis Allen. Wonder if Cox is getting paid to ruin Allens chances.
In 1859 California passed the Pico Act, requesting that Southern California be split off as a separate state. Because of the secession of Southern States, in response to Abraham Lincoln being elected, Congress did not vote on it.
Bring back California's Pico Act, and declare that since Congress failed to vote on California's wishes in 1859, Congress will now take up the Pico Act.
In the process, declare that since California has voted to ignore Federal Immigration Laws, and declared that anyone cooperating in the implementation of Federal Immigration laws will be arrested, the state of California is now in rebellion.
Amend the original Pico Act and use an amended version to split California up into multiple states, to include the State of Jefferson in Northern California.
Obama had no problem declaring that Arizona could not, on its own, enforce Federal Immigration law, and Arizona was ruled in violation of the Supremacy Clause. So isn't it true that California is in violation, since it refuses to enforce Federal Law, or cooperate with ICE in fulfilling their obligations under law?
It means “ **** off and die.”
Haha!! Two (or more) can play at that game!
Can CA really right itself?
