The three previous bombings this month, over an 11-day period, killed two people and injured two others.
Those three bombs were left as packages on doorsteps, while Manley said Sunday's device was different: It was placed on the side of the road. The victims were injured either while riding their bikes, or pushing them, Manley said.
"It is very possible that this device was activated by someone handling or triggering a tripwire," Manley said, adding that the mechanism used to set off the explosion remained "unconfirmed."

What the H is this? Austin of all places yes it is the a-hole of Texas but l would not expect this.
Or same guy is evolving. This was for random victims in a predominantly white neighborhood. If there was a message, it’s for the NAACP prez to shut the heck up with all his race conspiracies. Not everything revolves around skin color.
This is very scary, and I hope it doesn’t inspire copycats.
I read that the tripwire was attached to a For Sale sign that had been placed in front of a house that actually wasn’t for sale. Possibly they meant to lure the owner out to take the sign down, which would trigger the bomb.
I also saw that of the earlier three bombings, one was possibly a mistake, so to speak, because it had been left at a house with a different address from the one on the package. (Possibly the one that killed the older Hispanic lady?)
I think they’ll get the bombers, unless this is truly a random nutcase, if they can find a link between these people or these addresses. In the meanwhile, it must be a terrifying situation for Austin residents.

Perhaps the tripwire device was intended for young black men riding their bicycles through this white neighborhood innocently checking out the vacant homes to burgle.
Saw a report in some obscure place that said they were activated by an optical motion detecting device. Maybe one from a security light?
Too many cameras in residential neighborhoods today for the perp to not get caught on camera eventually.

He could always just stop for a year, and then resume operations. Sometimes these guys do that. They’re in jail, maybe, or decide to go to another city for a while and lay low.
