Oakland Mayor Received Over 1,000 ‘Angry Calls’ After Defying ICE
Breitbart ^ | 3-4-2018 | Joel B. Pollak

Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf received over 1,000 “angry calls” in protest against her decision last weekend to warn illegal aliens of an impending raid by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials. Schaaf — who told the Washington Post, “I definitely consider myself part of the resistance” — angered ICE officials, who made 232 arrests over several days but said that 800 illegal aliens evaded arrest due to her warning. Many of the illegal aliens targeted in the raid already had criminal convictions, according to ICE officials.

The East Bay Times reports:

The rough, subjective tally, as of Friday afternoon? Love her decision: 153. Hate it: 1,037.

The 1,190 calls, emails and voicemails, a few dozen of which were reviewed by this news agency, are another indication of how deeply Americans are divided on immigration. In a world in which anonymous comments flood social media, upset citizens will still sometimes pick up the phone. And while the angriest of them did not leave their name, others did and asked for a call back.

Like Debbie from Fresno and Fred from Illinois, who were polite in their criticism.

“I do not understand you protecting people who are not American citizens while you are abandoning the American citizens who put you in office,” Debbie said in a voicemail. “Why don’t you help the homeless instead? Clean up our streets, our country looks like an impoverished country in many ways.”

Thomas Homan, the acting director of ICE, said the Department of Justice is investigating Schaaf for obstruction of justice. In January, Schaaf vowed to go to jail to protect her city’s status as a “sanctuary city.”

Well, it appears that a lot of US citizens are unhappy with the mayor. But who cares what they think?

What matters is that a lot of foreigners with no respect for US law are happy with her and would gladly vote for her again.

I called Ms Schaafs office at 510-238-3141 I politely told the young man that answered I was very disappointed with the mayors new discriminatory policy. He said “oh which one?”

I said that “she is warning illegal immigrants they could be arrested! why discriminate against the drug dealers, drunk drivers, rapists and bank robbers. shouldn’t they be warned too!” He hung up on me LoL

How about a warrant for her arrest on a charge of giving aid and comfort to the enemy?

Ice just needs to leak to the mayors office every week that they are planning new raids.

Boy that cried wolf kind of thing. Soon no one will listen to the mayor plus it eats up County resources.

Why would the DoJ allow someone to tip off over 200 criminals, some of them convicted of violent crimes and felonies, to go waltzing free?

ITEM-—If Mayor Schaff signed off on falsified official documents, its a criminal RICO case....... as well as an asset forfeiture matter.

ITEM-—anyone can file a RICO-—you dont need a lawyer-—plenty of how-tos on the net.

ITEM—Besides government fraud, misuse of public office, confiscation of tax dollars, etc, it is also possible that Mayor Schaff and other Oakland officials committed other federal offenses including but not limited to:

<><> 18 U.S.C. §241 (Conspiracies Against Civil Rights)

<><> Mobilization of full investigations centering on her involvement in RICO conspiracies under 18 U.S.C. §1962(c) could be warranted because (1) she is employed by or associated with an enterprise (2) that engaged in undermining public safety and adversely affected interstate commerce and that (3) Mayor Shaff managed the enterprise (4) through a “pattern” (5) of racketeering activity, and that (6) the taxpayers and children of taxpayers were injured by reason of a “pattern” of racketeering activity.

<><> Alleged Offenses could include Violation of Title 18 U.S.C. §241 – Conspiracy Against Constitutional Rights – which prohibits in relevant part, “two or more persons (from conspiring) to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same . . .” See, 18 U.S.C. §241.

More likely it is 10's of thousands.

It might be interesting to learn whether these sanctuary cities and their schools/police have 'filtered down' the number of violent crimes to improve the statistics for their cities.

What do they actually gain by protecting illegals? There has to be some kind of payoff other than feelgoodism and a vote.

Good job:)

The only difference is that I would have used the term “illegal aliens” instead of “illegal immigrants”. That would have really triggered the snowflake.

When dealing with the traitorous left, I aim to be as offensive as possible.

That is the master plan: Illegal voters who then multiply like rabbits. Let's face it, most of "urban" America is finished as ever being anything close to conservative and will never see Republicans again. Now is the time to punish the treasonous bastards before they regain the presidency. I suspect nothing will ever be done. Sessions is pathetic.
