I remember that being in the paper at the time. Also read about how he had a flat tire on the Jersey Turnpike. A man stopped to help change it. Trump kept asking the man how he could repay him and man replied just send my wife some flowers.

501c3 risk losing tax exemption if they participate in campaign activities. During Obama administration, new rules went into effect including for 501c4. I do not recall what those changes were. When Trump filed the paperwork, the article went into detail on the restrictions, but I do not recall what those were.
