I’m convinced that John Avlon stays up nights before his CNN appearances, working on snarky one-liners that will get him noticed. So part of me hates falling for his shtick. Even so, I’ll report the shot he took at Ivanka this morning.
Commenting on a report that chief of staff John Kelly didn’t think that Ivanka was qualified to represent the US at the Winter Olympics, Avlon said:
“This is serious stuff, and simply freelancing in a fur coat ain’t going to cut it.”

Gay activists and stupid ugly leftist women hate Ivanka because she is very lovely and people who meet her like her.

That thing got his job based on his pretty face.

Judging from the photo of the guy, I would say he was jealous, and believes he would look better in it?
Because she has better fashion sense than they do.
I want Jivanka out of DC and out of Trump’s policy making as much as anyone.
But come on, it was the Olympics—and Avlon is a particularly vile piece of Schiff.
I expected Obama to do this actually.

The first half of that sentence stopped me - making an appearance at the Olympics is serious stuff? What exactly would be the ‘serious stuff’ Ivanka was expected to do? Negotiate a peace accord in between the Luge and Curling events? Maybe sneak in a trade deal with China?
He never criticized Moochella’s fat ass.
Let me guess. Did Avlon ever criticize the Wookie?
