Source: CNN Who is Rick Gates? 01:15 Washington (CNN)Former Trump campaign adviser Rick Gates is finalizing a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller's office, indicating he's poised to cooperate in the investigation, according to sources familiar with the case. Gates has already spoken to Mueller's team about his case and has been in plea negotiations for about a month. He's had what criminal lawyers call a "Queen for a Day" interview, in which a defendant answers any questions from the prosecutors' team, including about his own case and other potential criminal activity he witnessed.

Yep.
A sitting president cannot be indicted for anything.
Only impeachment in the House and a conviction in the Senate can remove a sitting president.
And his lawyer was in the bathroom when he made this shakedown “offer”?
Nixon was named an “unindicted co-conspirator” during the Watergate investigation. I remember there being debate over whether a sitting President could be indicted, but I don’t know if it was ever definitively resolved. Mueller might try issuing an indictment to force Trump to have to fight it in court, unless there is a clear-cut ruling from the 1970s on the issue.
It is looking less and less like a passing moment of poor judgement and more and more like part of a master plan.
Very Fake News CNN.
Remember Wikileaks.

Run a quick search on DuckDuckGo “Manafort, Rick Gates.”

Burrowing down this rat hole may lead to John McCain.
Whose side do you think he’s on? I can’t make up my mind.
DNCNN is not a true source.
What crime against the Republic is Mueller nailing him for?
Something like breaking the D.C. leash law or not properly separating recyclables from trash?
Garrison sums it up perfectly.
Oh, those all knowing “sources familiar with the case”.
I wish this DBag was this dilligent when he was director of the fbi.
CNN. America’s Fake News HQ.
What is the origin of that “Mueller was a MARINE..!” statement that you quoted in post #39?
I don’t see it in the posted article or in the Freeper comments.
Thanks
A “Top Trump Campaign Adviser”, that no one remembers or ever heard off.
Mueller was a Marine —he might have been something unlikely like infantry, for example— and I’ve seen various people here and on Twitter submitting to the wishful thinking that he’s going to pull a huge legal switcheroo:
That he’s actually going to bust all the baddies and leave Trump untouched.
And I completely disbelieve it, I think that’s total fantasy.
(You’re right, though, no one in this particular thread has been that fantastic, though)
Another hapless nobody in thrall to the even more hapless Jeff “the recuser” Sessions. What a freaking disaster.
This is seeming more like Scooter Libby every day. The whole thing, just another indict everyone and see what sticks type of “prosecution”.
When it’s all over, someone will be charged with, and go to jail for (for a short while), “lying to authorities” (probably the FBI), and that will be that.
Ending with a whimper and not a bang. And nothing to do with Russia or Trump.
Such a giant waste of time. I’ll give the lefties this, they sure do know how to obfuscate.
