A bipartisan group of senators working on immigration legislation has reportedly reached a consensus.
The deal will be announced later Wednesday, senators involved in the so-called Common Sense Coalition told reporters after a closed-door meeting.
"It's going to be ready today," said Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., The Hill reported.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the deal would establish a pathway to citizenship for the nearly 2 million undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children and protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, Bloomberg reported. Graham also said the deal will address border security.
Graham said the deal would not, however, deal with the so-called diversity visa lottery, which prioritizes immigration from countries that send fewer immigrants to the U.S., or family reunification, which immigration hardliners have dubbed "chain migration."

It will pass the Senate that is dominated by Democrats and undocumented Democrats in R jerseys.
It will not pass the House.
Whenever I hear “bipartisan deal”, I know that whatever it is, it isn’t good for America.

I think Trump should shoot for a 10% tax on all international money orders... using the money for ICE, Border Patrol and that beautiful wall.
A Bipartisan group of senators means the democrats found several pseudo-republicans who are going to do what the democrats want them to do.
One should ask, is it a DACA deal that President Trump would sign? He has already repeatedly signaled what he absolutely postively would NOT sign.
There has to be -
1. ADEQUATE funding for the Wall. Not for a “study” or “feasibility”, but real construction of a solid and very real wall.
2. An end to immigration selection “lotteries”, to be replaced entirely by merit-based and verifiable expressions on the part of the applicant that they really WANT to come to America to make it a better place, in accordance with long-standing principles of the American dream.
3. A vast curtailment of “chain migration, limited to only either parents, or foreign-born children. Siblings, various aunts, uncles and cousins would have to apply on their own, after demonstrating some kind of merit and a genuine appreciation of what it takes to be an American citizen.
4. Lastly, and only on the condition the first three conditions are met and enacted, those of the childhood arrival group of irregular immigration procedures will be considered, on a case-by-case basis, for inclusion in DACA, definitely NOT a blanket amnesty, and NOT extending to parents, only for a VERY long period before naturalization, twelve years continuous residency as a minimum, compared to five years for those who enter according to existing procedures.

This “deal” is DOA as well.

Used car salesmen and Kenyan presidents make “DEALS”. That is not how the system is supposed to work. Take your “deal” and shove it. When a “deal” is made, somebody usually takes it in the shorts. In this case, that would be the American taxpayers. Think about it. Which is going to cost more? President Trump’s tax cuts or a DACA “valedictorian” deal?
How much is in this bill for the wall? Probably a pittance if anything. The article does not even mention the wall.
It doesn’t even MATTER if it passes the Senate.

Trump will not get everything he wants and will have to cut a deal. That’s a given. We shall see what he gets.

Not even close to what Trump wants, and Trump has already given A LOT (such as going from 700k to 1.8M and including citizenship, rather than no path).
Either Trump has been lying to use the past week, or this is DOA.

The Dems don’t care about the wall, they’ll just block it in Appropriations. What they REALLY care about is Chain Migration and to a somewhat lesser extent, the Terrorist Lottery.
