Former president George W. Bush said he believes Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, departing from President Trump, who has been skeptical of intelligence agencies’ findings that the Kremlin had interfered to help him win.
“There’s pretty clear evidence that the Russians meddled. Whether they affected the outcome is another question,” the 43rd president said at a summit in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. He added: “It’s problematic that a foreign nation is involved in our election system. Our democracy is only as good as people trust the results.”
Bush has been critical of Russia, slamming it for working to “exploit our country’s divisions.”
“The Russian government has made a project of turning Americans against each other,” Bush said during a forum in New York in October.

for years I did not understand that the Bush family and the Clinton family were separate political crime families and then I saw his dad participate in the exploitation of the haition tragedy. George Senior got on television and told people if they wanted to help Haiti the best way was to send the money to the Clinton foundation. that woke me up and I started to investigate what the family did on the side and realized that the bushes were just more adept at hiding there corruption because the family has been doing it longer then the Clintons.
And can anyone answer me why a nation state like Russia would have any NEED to phish Podesta? They had free access to Hillary’s homebrew server which was basically wide open.
The “Podesta got phished by Russia” scam is step one.
Then all those emails of his were supposed to be used in support of Trump.
The Podesta/Russia, or other Russia/Hacking claims are essential if someone wants to argue that Russia intervened to assist Trump illicitly. It is a full lie.
The truth is that this was a CIA/State/FBI operation designed to create the outcome they wanted in the election. It was a more sophisticated version of blowing JFK’s head off, and nothing else.
Russia wasn’t involved.

Bush must needs some headlines for his name to be remembered. (After all, his nephew (from YEB!) is on the Texas ballot for the March 6 election.)
