I also have been going to a woman doctor for about 8 years. I needed to find a new doctor, and she was highly recommended by my endocrinologist. I thought it would be weird but it isn't, and she's great doctor. I am male and am always alone with her during exams.

50 years ago was only 1967.....
Even then the ‘open door’ policy for bosses etal wasn’t actually ‘MY DOOR IS OPEN’, it also meant If you and a subordinate were to have a one on one, best either leave your door open or at least have a witness. Couldn’t really ‘tape’ the meeting as the ‘law’ was kind of iffy when it came to wire taps and what constituted one.
PDT played that beautifully a couple of weeks ago AND the ‘other side’ proved him correct as it is the ONLY meeting he or Senior R’s have had that didn’t have ‘scores of leaks’ or misstatements.
After the ‘$hiitehole’ controversy/he said-she said travesty, PDT should have announced that ALL future meetings would be on the record -AT HIS DISCRETION and he may or may not tell you.

Yes, that occurred to me. An unscrupulous woman could find a way to influence another unscrupulous or weak person to support her false accusations.
Yep. All the fake feminists were up in arms when he made clear his policy but now there is not a peep regarding how absolutely correct he is.

Granted, the mind set of people engaged in that sort of work - I was in Asphalt Paving - another COMPLETELY male field at the time and a lot of times I would ‘wish’ I hadn’t called someone aside to ‘further instruct him or point out how he was going against MY wishes - job wise’.
No telling what kind of ‘quotes’ and misstatements come out of such a session.
If you fire someone for cause, good idea to have good documentation and proof.
‘Secret’ warnings about not repeating the offense may come back to bite you in the arse.
For the most part the ‘undereducated’ people doing those jobs may want to whip your butt for firing them but a ‘war of words’ usually wasn’t in the offing. The ‘super intelligent (at least in their own minds) wouldn’t be ‘caught dead’ doing manual labor, much less mining coal or shoveling asphalt (other than maybe a part time summer job).
I started running asphalt crews when the tendency was to not necessarily hire the ‘toughest guy in the crew’ but someone who could actually ‘speak’ to inspectors and knew enough to order ‘50 more tons rather than 5 & one half loads’.
At the time the inspectors (at least the younger ones were HS grads at the least and some college).
Remember it was in that time frame that ‘they’ were starting to require some college for LEO types

Shared an office with young 20 year old women. I had a policy that the door was open all the time, and the blinds were never drawn. On young woman objected, and I said that it wasn’t open for negotiations.
The irony is delicious. We’re going to end up with de facto sex segregated workplaces. And women are going to find themselves being vetted before a guy will even consider dating them. Plus there will be added pressure since American men will increasingly look overseas and import their wives.
any complaint over ten years old should be ignored.
