During Prime Minister Justin Trudeaus week-long official trip to China last December, more than $2,200 worth of alcohol 121 bottles of wine and 241 cans of beer was consumed on flights. That amount translates to about two bottles of wine and four cans of beer for each of the roughly 56 passengers for the flights to and from China.

I shudder to think what the bar bill for a typical Congressional junket costs.

I recall reading a few years ago an article by John Lott concerning how much spending on alcohol increased greatly under Obama. And it wasn’t just ordinary beer and wine and spirits, it was also buying very expensive and rare vintages and liquors as gifts and related things.

Take one down, gulp it down (and forget Trudeau), 399 bottles of wine on the plane.
Where did that number come from? I thought it was fewer, and mini bottles too.

Actually, for a round trip to China, thats not too excessive...Im sure Id consume a bottle of wine each way, over the many hours, and I doubt that they got the best of the best. In any case, it probably kept them sleepy and from doing too much plotting together.
