I shudder to think what the bar bill for a typical Congressional junket costs.
I recall reading a few years ago an article by John Lott concerning how much spending on alcohol increased greatly under Obama. And it wasn’t just ordinary beer and wine and spirits, it was also buying very expensive and rare vintages and liquors as gifts and related things.
