TRUMP'S ECONOMIC POLICY LEADS TO MORE JOBS FOR AMERICANS.
They also ignore economics 101 - manufacturers who build here can build cheaper products that'll sell making them more competitive.
That’s the idea you morons!!!
Just bought a Maytag to replace the old defunct whirlpool a couple of months ago. Works great.
That tears it. I’ll never buy another LG washer! Never heard of them anyway.
Woo, Hoo!
Benton Harbor, MI will make a come back!
CNN is on the side of ANYONE who hates the United States and our companies and our people.
Eff the little CNN sh*ts...
I am SO hoping the frikkin stupid regulations handed down from the frikkin stupid EPA are abolished, and the people can once again purchase washing machines that actually agitate, spin, use a proper of amount of water, and clean the dirty clothes you entrust to their no-longer-computer-controlled-by-Big-Brother washing cycles - and the newly freed washing machines will clean your clothes like the good old days in well under under 3 hours.
Oh, and did I mention Dishwashers?
More fake news by CNN. The Trump tariffs on LG & Samsung are the result of a finding by the U.S. International Trade Commission that found both companies in violation of trade standards.
This makes no sense. A tariff is a tax. If the government is going to put a tax on your product, the government is making the price go up. What the manufacturer should do is lower the price of the product. That way the tax when added will not make the price as high as it wouldve been without the lower price being implemented.
Years ago I asked a washer/dryer guy what he thought was the best manufacture, he said buy Speed Queen, we did, bought a washer and dryer, no problems at all.
Made in USA, it does cost more, but you get what you pay for.
,
Any #CNN-FakeNews stories on rising wages perchance?
Gosh - to think that the machines manufactured here will be cheaper - go figure!...
We regret buying LG appliances so this will be no loss!
DUH That's the whole point!
****** LG said a new $250 million washer factory that’s being built in Clarksville, Tennessee should help ease some pressure, since those washers won’t be subject to the tariff.
...
And there’s the good news.
I looked at the LG washers a couple years ago when I had to replace a Maytag that pooped the bed after only 5 years due to plastic made-in-china internals. These newfangled washers may look fancy, but they’re almost 100% made-in-china plastic garbage. And I don’t want a #@%&ing washing machine that will spew error codes at me.
That’s why I went with a Speed Queen. All metal parts, stainless steel tub, good reputation, made in USA. It’s the kind of washer they put in laundromats in Da Hood. It’s also easy to take the control panel off and bypass the stupid water conservation ‘eco’ BS so that the ‘extra large’ load setting actually fully fills the tub like it should.
Hey LG ... try using locally made parts instead of importing them from China.
LG parts are already 4X normal parts and NOBODY services them.
Made that mistake once, never again.
Speedqueen, baby.
Buy a Maytag.
So thankful we built our new house a couple of years ago, and so already bought our LG washer, dryer, frig... and our kitchenaid and whirlpool appliances. Our son bought his house last year and bought new appliances. They were expensive enough as is! ‘
I was also thinking this should bring jobs back to US.
