Years ago I asked a washer/dryer guy what he thought was the best manufacture, he said buy Speed Queen, we did, bought a washer and dryer, no problems at all.

Made in USA, it does cost more, but you get what you pay for.

Yes, SpeedQueen! Was going to buy a washer a few months ago, but I checked Craigslist first. Found a 20 year old Speedqueen set for $150. They are running strong and actually clean the clothes. I’ll never buy anything but a SpeedQueen again. I believe that even the new ones have a real agitator and you can select how much water you use. Can’t stand the new washers that think they know better than you how much water to use.
