Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) confirmed on Tuesday that he has withdrawn his offer to discuss funding for the U.S.-Mexico border wall as part of a deal with President Trump. "We're going to have to start on a new basis and the wall offer is off the table," Schumer told reporters, saying that the offer was initially "part of a package." The reversal comes after Schumer said he offered to discuss the wall — a key campaign pledge of Trump's — during a White House meeting on Friday. "During the meeting, in exchange for strong [Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)] protections, I reluctantly put the border wall on the table for the discussion. Even that was not enough to entice the president to finish the deal," Schumer said from the Senate floor early Saturday. But Schumer said that the president, while initially seeming interested, refused the agreement.

On the Feb 8 vote for DACA , the senate Will easily vote cloture on the filibuster. They need just 9 RINOS— easy. There are many more than the necessary votes to now pass DACA. I expect DACA to easily pass the Senate and the House. I expect the wall and all of our immigration proposals are finished.McConnell stabbed us in the back on purpose.
Make them really filibuster; it might get a few of them out of the way. If they have to stay up 24/7 talking to obstruct. They will provide wonderful campaign ad materials or back down.
If they do shut down again, start by laying off everyone involved in the Obamacare committees. Then move on to layoffs in the EPA and continue as necessary.

Politically Trump should not separate DACA from the rest of the universe of illegals and tell Schumer he will sit down with him when he is ready to discuss wall, chain migration and visa lottery for the entire illegal universe. We know there is polled support among the American public for these things while at the same time they want a DACA fix. This puts the ball in the Dem court with DACA illegals pressuring Schumer to come to the table before their time runs out while at the same time there is public support to end chain migration and the visa lottery.

I don’t think they can get it through the House unless Ryan also stabs US in the back and uses Dem votes to pass it. It is possible as that is exactly what they were going to do the day after Cantor’s primary in 2014 to pass Rubio’s amnesty.
We threw a monkey wrench into that plan by Cantorizing the weasel Eric Cantor.
Trump will veto any egregious amnesty bill that does nothing about enforcement, border security, lottery and chain, etc.
They do not the votes to over ride a veto.

Let’s look at the calculus here: DACA is illegal, and Trump nonetheless gave Congress until early March to pass something that WOULD be legal, i.e. he wouldn’t enforce the law against these - ahem - illegal aliens. All that he wanted was some sanity on our immigration policy...”sanity” being rather ironically defined by approximately what the Democrats had as their own national policy about 20 years ago...
...and Schumer won’t give ANYTHING, so DACA is going straight to Hell.
You know, Schumer isn’t actually that stupid - he KNOWS this. Which can ONLY mean that he wants DACA to go down in flames, so that he and the rest of the Dems can use it as a campaign issue. Well, that’s where I simply have to modify my earlier statement that “Schumer isn’t actually that stupid” - because THAT is a losing position. Not within his party, but nationally. This past weekend and his cave-in on Monday proved it. I honestly don’t know what the guy is thinking. He’s in a box of Trump’s creation, and there are no ways out. I just LOVE this!

Some lady on social media posted to me that Schumer did this because Republicans were posting things all over the internet about him and DACA that made Schumer mad and he did this in retaliation. She was talking about my posts and those that agreed with me- not Republican Congress critters or others in power. Just we the people; she wanted us to stop posting about the illegals or DACA. The scary thing is she got tons of likes for her comment.
I told her I thought it was far more likely he did it because illegals were protesting at his house than because of anything little old me posted. She had no idea illegals were protesting at his house. She truly thought I and people that felt like I do should not be posting our opinions or facts because we were fouling up the process!!!
I wish I had that much power! Oh my that would be interesting and dim heads would be exploding. I would make Trump look tame compared to things I would be doing.
I am telling you the media is keeping more from people than they are reporting. Scary, real scary. Not only does the media lie but they decide what is or is not reported to the people. As much information that is out there now and how easy it is to access (most of it) I am shocked that some don’t know even a tiny bit of what is going on.
The rinos better start noticing who’s winning. Mitch needs to fund the wall with 51 votes. But DACA requires 60.

Schumer is trying to save face. Trump may even find him some little thing he can use to do so. The wall funding, ending Visa lottery/chain migration & border security is non negotiable.
