Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen confirmed Tuesday that her department has asked federal prosecutors to see if they can lodge criminal charges against sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal deportation efforts.
The Department of Justice is reviewing what avenues may be available, Ms. Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Her confirmation came after Californias new sanctuary law went into effect Jan. 1, severely restricting cooperation the state or any of its localities could offer.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan says those policies put his officers and local communities at more risk because they have to arrest illegal immigrants out in the community.
Mr. Homan told The Washington Times last July that he wanted to see local officials charged as complicit in human smuggling if they shielded illegal immigrants through sanctuary policies.

The Ninth Circuit needs to be swatted away like gnats.
Fortunately, we have just the guy to do that.
Fortresses for invaders and the domestic enemies who aide and abet the invaders.

The FEC may ultimately be the ones to bring Hillary down for using the DNC as her own personal money laundering machine.
Its reminiscent of Al Capone. After all, it was the Treasury Department, not the FBI who finally put him out of business.
PLEASE READ. If true, we are talking literal execution-by-hanging-for-treason of a number of US officials.

STOP RIGHT THERE. In the first sentence. This proves the title of "DHS Preparing To Arrest Leaders" as made up. The DHS apparently can't do that. They can "ask" the DOJ as the first sentence states, and further down in the article confirms. And you're welcome to trust the DOJ if you want, but my thinking is more along the lines of the President's tweets. Maybe the pressure Trump is putting on them will lead to some changes, but we should join in applying that pressure.
I’m all for it. You break the law, you get arrested.
I’m all for it. You break the law, you get arrested.
I am going to have to keep that in mind. So Donald Trump is our best entertainment value these days? It's Trump against the world some days. I feel bad for the guys.
Do you think Trump isn’t enjoying every minute of this?
And if you didn't have ANY, there would be enough to rebuild your bridges, replace much old infrastructure such as gas and water supply, replace or repair dam walls, build a high-speed rail system comparable to those in Europe, and heaven knows what else...with some 40 plus % of the population relying on the public purse to some extent, MAGA is going to be a mammoth task. Repairing and replacing infrastructure would surely put a lot of the parasites to work. Obviously, Trump is going to need another four years...!
He is in his glory. I think he loves making the Enemy Media and the LibTards chase Bright Shiny Things while he’s gettin’ chit DONE for, ‘We The People.’
He is the only President in my lifetime since Reagan, who understood that HE works for US.
MAGA! :)
Let’s hope. If it happens then I’ll start believing that the golden ring is within reach once again: The arrest, indictment and conviction of Hillary F. Clinton.
I did Not know That.
I’ll believe it when I see it...
“Preparing to” generally is synonymous with boom or bombshell...
Like a trial balloon.
wow, now THIS is winning! A return to sanity
That would be a hoot!
NTOWY
