U.S. Sen. Al Franken said goodbye to staff members and supporters in Minneapolis on Thursday night, in his first public appearance in Minnesota since being accused of sexual harassment.
Franken will officially step down from the Senate on Tuesday, with his successor – Minnesota Lt. Gov. Tina Smith – scheduled to be sworn in Wednesday to complete Franken’s term, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.
The Democrat, a former "Saturday Night Live" writer and performer, said he didn't know what to expect when he first ran for office, “and of course, neither did Minnesotans.”

Just a month ago, the New York homosexual Times were touting Franken as the next democrat president in 2020. So who will they now be serving up for slaughter, to take on Trump in 2020?
Years ago I went to Barnes and Noble looking for a newly released Rush Limbaugh book and couldn't find it. It wasn't in the Politics section and I couldn't find it so I ask this "guy" who worked there if they had it. Annoyed, he said, "Tsk, yes we have it. There's a whole big stack of them over here. I don't why they bought so many" and began to walk in a prissy way across the store. When we got to the area he said, "I can't believe it! There was a giant stack of them here yesterday". There were two left. I grabbed one and another guy who had overheard and walked with us grabbed the other one.
Sorta like Washington’s farewell to the troops, isn’t it?
How? For being an idiot? Under that standard, we would need to incarcerate over half the country.

Had to be more of a bonus by sticking it out until the end of the year..?
Franken had sexual predelictions that he frequently engaged in........molesting women taking pics with him, and so on.
But the sheer stupidity of the man actually posing for a picture cupping a sleeping woman’s breasts.
A typical Democrat bragging about his support for “Women’s Rights......but completely clueless about objectifying a women ....getting a sexual thrill at her expense.
That simply cannot ever be tolerated.
Voters had better be very aware....Franken is from the entertainment world.
He raised an enormous $25 million and quickly gave it to Democrat campaigns (to buy their support for his political ambitions).
Voters better find out which Democrats are walking around with money from “Pecker”wood to buy their votes.
Franken’s photos cupping a woman’s breast while smiling at the camera is his version of counting coup.
I would suggest it is part of his comedic shict (sp), and that he has lots, perhaps hundreds more.

The Democrats live by a double standard. They are more then willing to go in the gutter to bring down an opponent. Up until President Trump few Republicans were able to withstand the hate and lies directed at them. None were able to fight back. They just folded like cheap lawn chairs. President Trump is a fighter so taking him on is not going to be a cake walk.
In 2020 they need a candidate that is CLEAN with no baggage.
Problem is they do not have any like that. They have all been corrupted by the process (same can be said for Republicans).
Anyone that the Democrats put forward has to be prepared to be exposed. President Trump plays by his opponents rules.
