The United Nations general assembly has delivered a stinging rebuke to Donald Trump, voting by a huge majority to reject his unilateral recognition of Jerusalem as Israels capital.
The vote came after a redoubling of threats by Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN, who said that Washington would remember which countries disrespected America by voting against it.
Despite the warning, 128 members voted on Thursday in favour of the resolution supporting the long-standing international consensus that the status of Jerusalem which is claimed as a capital by both Israel and the Palestinians can only be settled as an agreed final issue in a peace deal.
Although largely symbolic, the vote in emergency session of the world body had been the focus of days of furious diplomacy by both the Trump administration and Israel, including Trumps threat to cut US funding to countries that did not back the US recognition.

But. If you watch the security council vote you will see the guy from Japan just barely holding back until he could proudly thrust that arm in the air for the first nay.
I think we should put our bases on those islands who voted for us, the very same ones, and do mountains of trade with them somehow. Bring them to an amazing level of prosperity. Trump could do it. What fun that would be. Beautiful places. Great tourist locations.
Drop the foreign aide where you can, free up the money and put it towards accelerating the move to Jerusalem.
Other than that, shame on the U.K. We were their for them in WWI and WWII just so they can Islamify, give up and let Germany run all of Europe? Shame.
The UN needs to move its headquarters to London.
Better yet, pull out of NATO.
Let the EU foot its own defense bill.
But like a responsible parent, "holding nations to account" ought to have a bit of sting.
So, I would propose a 50% reduction in aid for the upcoming period. This, so long as any possible counteraction by one or all of recipients would not seriously compromise our national security.
(I have not stayed at a Holiday Inn for quite some time.)
Neptune maybe...
At least the stench wouldn’t drift here.
Move US military bases to Poland.
I think flexibility is important, perhaps a time limited reaction.
Some people look at the money we pay to other nations, and yes it is a lot of money. What they don’t think of is the cost of a war.
So which is it, tens of billions for foreign aide, or a $1.75 trillion to $4.0 trillion or more war.
With regards to Canada, SJWs and the other, usual left-wing suspects are howling for Baby Trudeau’s blood right now, saying that Canada’s abstention was a ‘spineless betrayal of the entire world’.
Oh, please.
Other than that, shame on the U.K. We were their for them in WWI and WWII.
My Dad was a disabled WWI vet, and he lost a lot friends in France in WWI.
Then, a younger cousin, who was like a brother to my Dad in WWII left part of his skull in Europe and part of a leg. Other relatives/friends, flew in planes to bomb Germany and others brought supplies to the UK in our ships and the grave danger of the German Uboats.
My ancestors had great reasons to leave England and fight them in two wars. They probably would be embarassed by our support of today’s UK/England.
I admit I know nothing of economics, but since our dollar is not backed by equal amounts of gold, isn’t there the possibility of some sort of economic collapse, should our foreign funding be withdrawn, if countries retaliate by refusing to trade with us, or of having our dollar be devalued? I’m 100% in favor of Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel, but I am also mindful of the hidden and not so hidden hatred of Israel by most of the world, and the impact that has on the prophecies about the end times. We certainly live in interesting times.
“I recommend giving everyone who voted against us (who takes money from us) a small budget cut.”
Y’all have to take a haircut. Let’s say 20%.
This should save us a lot of money.
Keep the promise and indeed cut off all funds to the countries who voted against the US.
The ball is squarely in Trump’s court. Go Trump. MAGA! Kick those bastards out tell them all to go to hell without our tax payer support.
I would have the ambassador sitting in an office in the consulate in Jerusalem tomorrow morning.
Abstaining is better than voting against us.
Does anyone have stats on american tourism in Germany and Londonistan for the last two years. I am thinking of going to London for the summer games next year. Driving Vans into crowds, killing cops at random and the new sport acid toss.
This also solidifies the connection between the United States of America and the State of Israel. So the first part of Ezekiel 38 could very well include the USA.
EZE38:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: EZE38:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, EZE38:12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
