BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A California judge has ruled in favor of a Christian baker who refused to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.

The judge denied a motion for a temporary restraining order filed on Wednesday against Cathy Miller, the owner of Tastries Bakery in Bakersfield, California.

According to a press release sent by The Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund, the order would have compelled "Miller to create wedding cakes for LGBT persons, even though doing so would violate her sincerely held religious beliefs."

I’m happy they refused to beautify and endorse faggotry. We all should, starting in our pubic schoolrooms.

The baker in the SCOTUS case will sell a plain, iced cake to anyone including homosexuals. He just refuses to endorse gay “marriage” by decorating it with little Adam and Steve figurines and homosexual decorative homosexual messaging icings on them.
Once anyone buys a plain cake from him they can do whatever they want with it.

To force a Christian, who does not believe in homosexual marriage, to endorse their wedding?

Mark 15 But, knowing their hypocrisy, he said to them, “Why put me to the test? Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” 16And they brought one. And he said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said to him, “Caesar’s.” 17 Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they marveled at him.

Or better yet....The “couple” has to be the one to contribute to the group and then present the bakery with the receipt that it was done!!!

That sounds fine. The baker simply doesn't provide as a service inscriptions. If someone is having a ceremony with religious overtones, they can always recommend a company that does that.

I agree with the principle. But when I consider the motives of the gay community, it's obvious that the goal is not the cake. The goal is to put company owners who support traditional values out of business.

I noticed that.

It seems that the SCOTUS case is based upon the argument that a person cannot be compelled to”create” something that they do not approve of [”artistic expression”], rather than the usual “religious expression” argument.

It’ll be interesting to see how these all play out.

We see the economy exploding because business owners FINALLY have a President that is pro-business.

It must be a relief to small business owners to have a President that won’t try to ruin your lifes’ work to please his base.

That begs the question as to why muslim bakeries have not been asked to create bar mitzvah creations and whatnot.

If they have been I haven’t heard about it. Not many bakeries where I’m from. Most wedding cakes done by individuals who aren’t a bakery ever.

Question is why would you want someone to make something you EAT that they clearly don’t want to prepare for you. Would you eat that cake? Just sayin

I assume the mooslims use camel dung in their “pastries.”

How about a sign in the window that says” All wedding cakes made with real pork lard.”

Remember Kim Davis, County Clerk in Kentucky that refused to sign a marriage license for a homosexual couple? That couple wasn’t even from Kentucky. They came to Kentucky specifically to create that problem.

On a related note Kim and her husband are lifelong Democrats from Democrat families. This event caused them to turn from Democrat to Republican.

They seek them out for the purpose of wrecking them.

I read online (but have not yet confirmed) that in the CO case now before the USSC the gays drove over 120 miles to their selected target ... er ... baker - eschewing 67 other bakeries that were closer.

This isn't discrimination on the part of the bakeries - this is intentional harassment and attempts to put people out of business as a message to all - conform to our progressive socialist agenda! Well, eff that.

Pardon, but they have not been “targeted.”

We obviously do not ascribe to like tactics for reasons which should be perfectly clear.

However, I would love to see the hypocrisy exposed.

Personally...I’d bake them the cake, then extend a friendly invitation to my church. That’s on a personal level. However, as a political issue, I think this absolutely needs to be addressed once and for all in favor of the bakers, and all Christian businesses who feel they are violating their faith by complying.

Finally a defeat for the coprophiliacs, and a rare win for Christianity and individual rights.
