Will this help the SCOTUS set a precedent?
The case that is similar to this is now before the USSC. If the USSC comes down on the side of the baker, with the reasoning that the baker can not be forced to create something, then this case might become moot. The USSC wants to stay from ruling in favor of religion on this case, IMO.
I agree 100%. Jesus condemned the hypocrits, but He loved the sinner, encouraged them to sin no more, with arms wide open. That is really what I strive for, and fail at every day.
This is the rest of my post, in case you care to read it again:
“However, if the government uses its hammer to force people to violate their honest personal religious beliefs, we have a problem. There is no harm in not baking a cake or partaking in a homosexual ceremony. No ones rights are violated, just go elsewhere!
And yes, the gaystapo searches out places for just this purpose.”
To reiterate my point. Personally, I would bake the cake. If the government forces me to violate my deeply held religious beliefs, the government is wrong.
In a free country that should be your option, but we are no longer a free country. Where I live you can't even have a rain barrel because you don't own the water that falls on your property.
Sounds like a move is in order. Ive read of that nonsense before. Come on up to Alaska FRiend!
“Where I live you can’t even have a rain barrel because you don’t own the water that falls on your property. “

If that same rain water seeps into your basement will the government pay to come and “rescue” it?
.
Easily dealt with by sending in straight couple to request a wedding cake.
Maybe it misses the religious objection, but it puts the ball back in the gaystopo couples’ court. Do they want their money and in fact a part of their wedding contributing to a group that actively opposes gay nuptials. Also the baker on his receipt might enclose a personal thank you to the vouple from the group. I think there would be second thoughts.
Sure they will. 😎
You want to kill the snake not scotch it.
If that community wants cakes, pictures, and other services connected to their conterfeit marriages, why don’t they start thos businesses them selves to cater to that group? It would make sense but that would also end their sick need to destory the livlihoods of those that don’t want to be forced into comprimising their pricipals.
