The big loser in Tuesday's Alabama's special Senate election was not the Republican Party. They had already lost weeks ago, the moment the Washington Post wrote their (carefully vetted, in this instance) exposé of the thirty-year-old sexual proclivities of Judge Roy Moore.

As should we all.
Luther Strange is exactly the type of DC insider/lobbyist/swamp creature that we are trying to get rid of.
Shelby’s write in campaign netted enough votes to swing the election. Of course, we ignore the hundreds of thousands of Republicans that sat at home. Jones needs to go to his office when he arrives and give Shelby a new Rolex for his help.
Democrats turned out 92% of their 2016 voters. Only 50% of the 2016 Republican voters turned our for Moore.
I didn’t have to make the choice, so I can’t say for sure, but I may have sat out myself. The Sean Hannity interview was very unconvincing. I certainly wouldn’t have voted for Jones.
Don’t forget that McConnell called for a write in vote, the write ins were 1.5%.
Watching Moore at his final rally, I was not impressed. He was disorganized, dropping papers, shuffling thru a big folder while he talked, unable to find what he wanted.
It wasn’t professional and he came across as a scatterbrain.
Moore stood tall, regardless of the result.
George Soros and vile innuendo were the real winners. How much money did the DemocRATS throw at this contest.
That whole Hannity interview w/Moore was pretty disturbing IMO. Moore not only failed to make the case for himself, he actually did the exact opposite. I don't live in Alabama and I wasn't faced with the choice of Moore or Jones either. I'm not sure what I'd have done myself however clearly many Republican and Conservative voters in Alabama stayed home and they knew exactly what was on the line.
Then again, Jones is just a placeholder until 2020. He's already a lame duck and you just know he has the biggest target on his back of all Democrats for the 2020 elections.
About 10x the GOP did and 500k of was from that traitor Egg McMuffin.

Let’s face it ... Bannon backed an awful candidate here.
nicely stated.
imo, the way to move on and crush the dems is to use the coming year to get all the swamp corruption into the public consciousness. This means indictments.
without indictments the swamp wins
“Jones needs to go to his office when he arrives and give Shelby a new Rolex for his help.”.
I’m sure there’s more than a shiny new watch in Shelby’s immediate future. McConnell, Pelosi, and Schumer all chipped in.
Just the truth.
“The people of Alabama have spoken.”
Soros?
Gloria Allred?
The Washington Post?
McConnell?
‘it opened up a Senate seat the GOPe gave to the Rats.’
absolutely; the ‘bama voters had nothing to do with it...
Roy Moore was tainted goods and the Democrats took advantage. They threw under the bus (Maybe) Al Franken and Harvey Weinstein and any number of famous leftist perverts to get evangelicals to write in enough votes to just beat Moore.
The Democrats also, smartly, waited till after the primaries were over to make their accusations. Time to wake up.
Bannon will win some and lose some. The important thing is to let the RINO’s know that its not going to be business as usual anymore. The jig is up with the McCain/Romney Republicans.
Bannon is going after them with a vengeance. If they want to burn down the house then I say so-be-it. Burn it all down to cinders. The hell with the status quo.
