The Army-Navy game is special, unlike any other. As such, it requires a different introduction than say, Arkansas-Missouri. And I am thrilled to report that CBS Sports was up to the task. Heres the introduction theyll show before kickoff this afternoon. Its powerful without overstepping the line of self-importance. Most impressively, it puts the actual game in proper context.

Fabulous!
Well done. American pride; duty, honor, country, are very much alive.
Very impressed - in Army, Navy - and the network that did this.
Wow!
Good to know that somewhere, on some level, they still have it in them to make such a piece. Well done.
Yes it was very nice.
Does anybody know who won the Air Force Academy/Julliard game? I didn’t see it broadcast on FOX.
....and no one took a knee....
I did see that and it was really nice and well done.
What happened to showing the Spirit Videos, CBS?
Nicely done.
Eyep...very well done
I saw the Spirit Videos air from time to time during the broadcast.
Army Navy is and was a great game. But it sorta miffs me when they ignore that AF has dominated the commanders cup in the last decade. Or when they say this is the only game where everyone on the field is willing to die for everyone watching? What about AF v Navy or AF v Army? Or USCG v merchant marine?
I watched it as broadcast, with a lump in my throat. Im an Army brat and we all watched the game annually, wherever we were stationed. I took my dad (USA Ret) and my son to the 84 game at the Rose Bowl. My HS best friend went to West Point. My college roommate flew for the Navy (NROTC grad). While its usually not a great game anymore, its wonderful to see the cadets/midshipmen. I wish CBS had shown more of the pageantry before and after the game, as well as at halftime (unless such was curtailed due to weather). But, Im grateful for the 5 minute lead-in.

Thanks for the link - really enjoyed it.
Army likes to play in the mud!
A bruising game played fair. Like it should be.
Congrats Army.
