The Trump administration on Wednesday asked the Supreme Court to overrule a 40-year-old precedent that allows states to require public employees to pay fees to unions that represent them, an important tool for the American labor movement.

The last 30 days have been incredible.
L
and make the unions collect their own dues on those that stay instead of the gov being their bag man
= = = = = = = = =
Take it a step further and DON’T allow the employee to make a direct payment to the Union.
Make the Union come and pick up the dues.
Ought to do the same with the withholding tax...Companies stop being the ‘debt collector’, give it to the employee and let him/her/it be responsible to give it to unka sugah.
In an essence you don’t ‘miss’ what you don’t see,
Like that FIRST paycheck of ones life.
HEY I am supposed to be getting paid 2 dollars and hour and I worked 40 hrs so that should be 80 dollars NOT 71.50(whatever)..
that is
THE FIRST RUDE AWAKENING
THE SECOND RUDE AWAKENING is when one finds out that toilet paper doesn’t ‘grow’ on that roll and it actually costs money to replace it...
Guess it doesn’t matter in the long run, unions are dinosaurs.
Seems he's being selective and smart about who he takes on. He isn't taking on the unions of the blue collar workers who took a chance on him. He's taking on the public sector unions, which shouldn't be permitted in the first place and whose members ARE the deep state.
For all intents and purposes, making federal workers pay dues even if they don't want to be part of the union constitutes a de facto direct expenditure of US government funds to the union. Unless Congress authorizes it as such, it ought to be unconstitutional. Kill it, Mr President!
Okay, that’s a move that Scott Walker would make. I’m paying attention! :-)
public employees shouldn’t have unions it perpetuates a bribery cycle. The union gives dues money to politicians who vote on their salary and benefits after the governor negotiates. The governor and legislatures receive contributions from the unions. The pay benefits go up, so the union raises dues and gives more money to the pols to raise pay and benefits. If there must be public unions no contributions for public officials, including no advertising.
“public employees shouldnt have unions it perpetuates a bribery cycle”
FDR had that position. There weren’t federal employee unions until JFK signed them into law.
in Cal jerry brown signed the bill the last night of his first term I think 1979. Now he can’t solve the pension crisis because the union owns his manhood.
That one will end up costing him re-election.
CA State govt pension obligations are due to hit a wall at high speed. The numbers are impossible to meet. Wonder how the crooks of Sacramento will try to solve that one.
not
Yes, they have been. I’ve been upbeat all year, watching Trump start changing things for the better.
I do believe we have’t seen anything yet, because these are still corner-stones he’s laying, and there will be full complex structures built on them over the next three years plus four.
She is working on Janus, too, as a consultant in education particularly charter schools and voucher programs. A great conservative!
Love it !!!!
Unions cost exorbitant amounts of “monthly fees” to small business and bite into labor/health/Lawyer/ bullshit lawsuits much to the detriment of the poor Bugger who is actually paying their re-cycled Dem. dues.
You touched on some good points there. I agree with you.
I’m very much opposed to unionization for government workers.
If you feel you need a union, get a job outside of government.
The power of unions to affect things, leaves those workers in a conflicted position, where they vote self-interest rather than what is best for the nation.
LOL my wife and I are retired CAL peace officers. I know the deal.
“He has a clear vision what it takes to clean up this mess.”
Trump’s been talking about some of these things for 30 years or so.
It’s kind of amazing when old clips or articles come up and he was right then, and now.
Thanks be to God for letting Trump win or we’d be so much worse off.
...aren’t you s’posed to be in Coeur d’Alene....
If I pay my neighbors salary, who is a public worker and the union gets 1.5% of his salary then thats a great backdoor way for Democrat entities to get my money.
I’d have no prob with public employee unions existed so long as they are nit connects to afl-cio, are completely barred from lobbying, political donations, and solely exist to represent employees in dispute and act as a lauson between labor and management. I guess if id settle for that....
four kids and three grandkids all in CAL But I’m in O-side lots of marines and retired military. looking at the ocean through my windows. Put up with a lot of BS to do it, but my life pretty good. Try to stay out of Sacramento.
