They are willing to sacrifice Franken so that they can pretend to hold the higher ground, and then try to force Roy Moore out of the Senate if/when he wins.
They know Franken’s replacement will be a Dem.

It will be so great if he resigns, because he was so over the top as a liberal commentator. He harassed people, was always unhinged.

I know this is not going to be popular here on FR, but this makes it very difficult for Moore to serve in the Senate should he win next Tuesday.
For his sake and his family’s, I hope he does consider stepping down after winning and make a deal with Ivey to get Mo Brooke into the Senate.
I just don’t see how he can be an effective Senator for Alabama. He will be a pariah in the Senate. They will give him no committee assignments, he will likely be kicked out of the Republican caucus and will have to sit as an Independent.
Frankly, I think the Dems have played this perfectly. This just might put Jones over the top. All very sad...
