David Sweeney, National Public Radios (NPR) chief news editor, left the taxpayer-funded outlet Tuesday after a third female journalist accused him of inappropriate behavior.
According to NPRs own reporting, an anonymous former NPR employee accused Sweeney of unexpectedly kissing her after he asked her to pull over a car they were driving on assignment 15 years ago. A second anonymous NPR journalist alleges that five years later, in 2007, Sweeney leaned in for a kiss while the two had drinks at a Washington bar.
Lauren Hodges, a current NPR editor went on the record. Hodges makes no claim Sweeney ever touched her inappropriately but gave her unwanted attention and unsolicited gifts. These gifts were given, allegedly, in a way that made her deeply uncomfortable.

Perversion and mental illness are prerequisites for becoming a demoncrat.
You are right. The Left, in their neurotic disdain for traditional sex roles, is creating a mine field in areas that used to understand & celebrate romantic courtship. Their adherents are caught up in a frenzy of accusations by attention seekers, which will only get worse, until society reverts back to its traditional celebration of romantic pursuits.
He gave her a sleeping drone. Incredible; no evidence is left behind. Not like the sloppy tactics of Bill ‘always room for jello shots’ Cosby.
Your interjection of reason and sense are appreciated. That many of these people are just now addressing these issues decades, and sometime multiple decades after the incident gives me great pause. It strikes me as women eagerly climbing on the victim and attention wagon.
Real harassment or assault is one thing, but perhaps women with stronger constitutions would better cope with an otherwise awkward human interaction, and certainly not wait decades to resurrect actions that are otherwise relatively minor except in this now hyper-charged environment.
This is what you get when you let a bunch of ugly, effeminate, nerds around hot chicks.
I have heard of judges wearing nothing under their robes and even worse, so that doesn’t surprise me.
No, I haven’t heard about the one-eared elephant. .......
He needed to be reminded what the rules were, but none of this (absent implied or verbalized threats) approaches harassment.
All of this is going to led to segregation of men and women.
That is the whole point. Dividing people. Just like BLM is to divide Blacks from whites.
The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution

Yep, just like I remember the Sweeney’s...mean and ugly.
I bet if the guy were handsome, there would have been no complaints.
Agreed but I thing isuntil I actually see any conservative but definitely go down then I’ll know that it’s a real game
Otherwise it’s the Truth
Beginning to think Mr. 10 needs to stay at home for his protection. One good thing, the 16 year old he dated in 1975 is NOT going to claim sexual harassment.
And it’s not even over yet.
Why is NPR still funded?

That is the real scandal. How much financial support does CPB (Corporation for Public Broadcasting) get every year from taxpayers to spout their liberal propaganda? Well, its about $450 million.
What percentage of American taxpayers actually listen to the drivel that congress funds?
Wow, this is getting into Cultural Revolution territory. Glad I’m retired now!
Not only that. The perpetrators are guilty until proven innocent of having committed a future crime.
Don’t dip your pen in company ink.
You know, I just don’t know.
