NPR Top News Editor David Sweeney Out over Sexual Harassment Accusations
Breitbart ^ | 11/29/2017 | IAN MASON

David Sweeney, National Public Radio’s (NPR) chief news editor, left the taxpayer-funded outlet Tuesday after a third female journalist accused him of inappropriate behavior.

According to NPR’s own reporting, an anonymous former NPR employee accused Sweeney of “unexpectedly kissing” her after he asked her to pull over a car they were driving on assignment 15 years ago. A second anonymous NPR journalist alleges that five years later, in 2007, Sweeney leaned in for a kiss while the two had drinks at a Washington bar.

Lauren Hodges, a current NPR editor went on the record. Hodges makes no claim Sweeney ever touched her inappropriately but gave her “unwanted attention” and “unsolicited gifts.” These gifts were given, allegedly, “in a way that made her deeply uncomfortable.”

If he was innocent, he would do what innocent people do. They defend themselves. “I never did.....”. That’s why Clinton’s lie about sex was so shocking. He lied without reservation. That’s not easy to do.

If a woman accuses me, I’m making noise.

You’ll notice Keillor never said “I didn’t touch anyone”. He came up with some lame story that no one believes.

He stopped short and made a grab! That's my move!

They are making the case for Sharia law.

Men cannot be trusted around women, and women cannot be trusted around men. So they have to be segregated and protected by men at all times.

Well, making up lame stories is what Keillor built a career on.

That doesn’t get you fired. Kissing a subordinate gets you fired.

have had wonderful Mr. Mercat for 48 years I was not offended by things that maybe a lot of broken damaged women would be troubled by.

I agree, but there are other possibilities - perhaps that (as with Lauer) there were other accusers waiting in the wings. Also, if these are lies, then the men should fight. Its not easy, but the truth will eventually come out.

Finally, this is not just a coincidence. This is political warfare against the left we see happening right now. As Saul Alinsky said - make the other side live up to the values they profess.

I think Keillor talked to her until she was unconscious and then made his move

I completely agree with you. I hate this #MeToo mentality.

Yet the fact that it involves democRats of all shapes and sizes does give me a happy.

Alinsky’s rule about making the enemy live up to its own book of rules has backfired on these creeps.

I guess that there are two judges I could complain about but they are both dead and I thought that they were wonderful people. One of them had a hearing in his office with the other lawyer on the phone and this judge was only wearing his gym shorts and an undershirt. He then grabbed his robe and went on the bench muttering something about physical therapy. Another one told dirty jokes off the bench and sort of implied them on the bench but for the most part was totally harmless. Anyone heard about the one eared elephant?

Well, NPR’s Sweeney can walk off the taxpayer-funded set hand in hand with Keillor and Charlie Rose and they can stay together at Franken’s home in Minnesota, where all the women are above average and all the men are gropers.

These men were looking for love in all the wrong places because they had given up on faith, prayer, and fasting. That’s why I didn’t believe the stuff about Hannity or Moore.

They’re also self-segregating. A year from now look at the ratings for these media outlets. No guy is going to watch. Half the women won’t watch or listen.

Men won’t hire women for the same reason they won’t hire blacks - - if you have two qualified candidates, why risk what you’ve worked for? I have little doubt the collection of beta males who plow the fields of voyeuristic endeavors like journalism and film committed the acts they are accused of. But once attention over the firings transitions into monetary settlements for the victims, a different brand of accuser will emerge.

I don't know anything about this guy David Sweeney, so I'm not condemning him, and I'm not defending him. However, some of these allegations are getting to be a bit much. What exactly is the definition of "unwanted attention?" What's wrong with giving someone an "unsolicited gift?" (assuming it was not something that was in poor taste or sexually explicit.) Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see a lot of the liberal Hollywood and media hypocrites finally exposed for who and what they are. However, in some cases, it seems to be getting to the point where just acknowledging the existence of a female coworker could cost you your job.

Some people have no knowledge of Virginia McMartin, Richard Jewell and the Duke lacrosse episode. Not saying there are not some guilty parties out there but are some of these cases where the check bounced?
