Air China suspends North Korea flights, deepening isolation
ABC News ^ | Nov 21, 2017 | Joe McDonald

State-owned airline Air China suspended flights Tuesday between Beijing and North Korea due to a lack of demand, deepening the North's isolation amid mounting U.N. sanctions over its nuclear and missile programs.

The move followed U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to add Pyongyang to a list of governments that support terrorism but there was no indication that prompted Air China's decision. A Chinese foreign ministry spokesman said he had no information.

The suspension left North Korea's Air Koryo as the only airline with regularly scheduled service to the North. Its website lists flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang and Dandong in China and Vladivostok in Russia.

And lil Kim is saying the US will be held accountable for this. It’s getting interesting.

President Trump had some persuasive conversations in a China already upset with Fat Boy.

This is due to President Trump’s great trip to China.

I can’t think of another presidential foreign trip that was as successful as this one.

Yet the media ignored this. All that we heard about was the lies and allegations against Judge Moore.

Has anyone ever sat him down and explained the quantitative and qualitative difference between his primitive 1950’s era nuclear arsenal and the United States weapons?

Imagine what could be accomplished if the media, and both Houses were solidly behind the President.

Me too but this is good news because it shows China’s distrust and concern. They don’t want radioactive fallout settling on their side of the border.

1st, we usually don't hear anything about the U.N. sanctions from ABC and the MSM.

And 2nd, if you substitute "Barack Obama" for "Donald Trump" in the last sentence, there's no way that last phrase would've been included.

I guess flying down to join the proletariat for meal of grass and bugs has lost it’s appeal.

When South Korean doctors operated on the NK defector who was shot escaping, they found his internal organs full of parasites. And apparently he was a soldier so imagine the condition of the other part of the population.

I find this timing to be interesting. I’m almost positive that Trump and China’s leaders talked about this a few weeks ago. Now China is making the move.

It’s as if they agreed to this several weeks ago, but they kept it on the “down-low” until China took the actions seeming autonomous from any talks with an other nation.

Makes me wonder. I think it’s a very good sign.

Trump seems to get the Asian proclivity to save face. He works things so they look good while cooperating. He’s a pretty savvy guy.

Our media hasn’t a clue about global dynamics, or this sort of negotiating behind the scenes, without taking credit.

Look at Asia and the Middle-East. Things are happening.

Trump just sits back and smiles. So am I.

Air China is the FLAG CARRIER for China (and not a bad airline, if you don’t mind real Chinese food). It is a safe bet that Air China was ‘requested’ to cease operations to North Korea.

THANK YOU President Trump!

They can and should. Their total end game is reunification. And they've made that clear.

It's that retard in the North...

...

Well, ABC is trying its best to make sure Trump doesn’t get any credit.

Agree with your analysis, DoughtyOne.

Very encouraging. Trump is all about slow steady pressure and long timelines.

Novices expect everything to happen right away. No.

Part of this is a game of trust. Trump put his trust in Xi and everybody wins. Putin is being engaged about North Korea too. This is high diplomacy!

It’s beautiful to watch.
