The man who police say shot and killed 26 people in a Texas church was able to purchase firearms because the Air Force failed to enter his assault conviction into a federal database, according to a report.........

The Obama military doesn’t make “mistakes”.
Several points not addressed. Even if this had occurred on base {No source says where his assault of wife and child occurred}, since they both were civilians should not a civilian penalty meaning charges and conviction occurred as well? He fractured his sons skull a very serious assault an act of which he still should have been doing time for either in a stockade or a civilian prison. Double Jeopardy doesn’t apply to crimes committed in the military. Simply meaning both can try and convict on the same charge with both giving out sentences which must be served.
They had ONE job! This is the Govt in action..and the left wants us to believe that MORE Govt is the answer
Probably ordered not to put in data so as not to ruin the misunderstood young man’s life.
There is no excuse for this WHATSOEVER.
And whoever was responsible for not doing their job, should be tried for murder.
This makes me sick.
So, Mr. Obama, tell us about background checks during your administration.
As soon as they decide whether male USAFA cadets can hold hands in public with their boyfriends, they will get right on that. :(
Exactly.
This is scary. Not only can a mass murderer pass a background check, but maybe pedophiles have also gotten through the background checks to teach kids too. Failures bring the system into question.
The Air Force record keeping clerks are the lowest of low.
They don’t file anything correctly, unless is is detrimental to you.
That’s why this mess up surprises me.
>>Not necessarily unwitting. This subhuman was sentenced in 2012, the fourth year of Obolas illegitimate reign. Obola already masterminded the Fast and Furious mass murder plot that was designed to send thousands of paramilitary rifles to Mexican drug cartels to cause mass murder and mayhem, thereby undermining support for the Second Amendment. This could have very well been another of Obolas attempts to salt the gun grabbing mine.
I said unwitting because the government seems to turn these people out by the thousands (depressed SSRI users who can still buy guns, and even some that can buy guns because of some mysterious “oversight”) knowing that maybe 1 in a 1000 will turn violent enough to make the news. The 999 others are also over-medicated and under-treated time bombs too. I don’t see a Telefon type of conspiracy here. It’s just a matter of probabilities.
>>I would imagine it was an E-2 or E-3 clerk who obviously needed better supervision and training.
If you would imagine that, then you need to consider the probabilities and realize that there are hundreds or thousands more like him who got the benefit of some E-2 or E-3’s lack of supervision.
Boy oh boy - the military has sure made it’s share of mistakes in the past couple of years. Billion dollar ships running into each other.......
>>Might not have been “unwitting”.
See post 92.
Yes. Making the world safe for bungling bureaucrats to omit vital information by taking away everyone’s guns. The day will come.
I think the most appropriate punishment for the USAF is for the Commander in Chief to serve a prison sentence. Just who was the CiC at the time?
Eight years of Obama rot can wreck a lot!
I’m sure whoever it was he or she had plenty of diversity training.
Thanks for bringing the info we were looking for! Probably neglect on the part of an E-5 clerk.
Clerks for Army combat units (with platoons, not sections) were E-5s. Short, vindictive males, some of ‘em. Others were probably alright, but I didn’t see ‘em. ;-)
