Weird how the white terrorists end up dead but the Muslim terrorists survive to have their day in court.

Kelley was an ATHEIST so how on Earth can his attack be written off as SOLELY motivated by a domestic dispute? Are the authorities ignoring the fact he made ANTI-CHRISTIAN FACEBOOK RANTS THEN SLAUGHTERED CHRISTIANS IN A CHURCH?

Things that make CONSPIRACY THEORISTS SAY 'WTF'?

Damn. This is going to get ugly. It was probably an honest mistake. But this particular mistake has had appalling consequences. Whoever dropped the ball here is going to have to live with the knowledge of what their screw-up cost. I expect that will be far worse than any disciplinary action they may suffer.

“People are acting like he could not have gotten guns if he had failed the background check.”

He would quite likely been able to secure a gun without a BG check, but it’s not o.k. for the “system” we have not to at least be functioning as it’s supposed to. So your question isn’t really relevant to the current discussion.

C’mon, vette, are you telling me that my post really, needed the sarcasm tag?

C’mon...

Yes, I think the Airforce should be sued into oblivion over this by anyone who lost anything in this matter.

He should not have been out of jail anyway. This is what happens when your judicial system gets soft.

Even though he received a year in prison for assault, he could have gotten more, and should have been disqualified.

Maybe. See my post 51. He was probably denied based on residency.

Yet he did get a DPS license as a security guard.

I wonder if he had a Texas drivers license?

Ah well. Doesn’t matter.

Ironic how we know more about Devin Kelley in 24 hours than we will ever know about Stephen Paddock.

Gee, I wonder why that is?

And being guilty of a crime that COULD HAVE resulted in a sentence of more than a year disqualifies him from possessing a firearm.

A good Sheriff JUST SAID it appears the shooting was religiously motivated (ANTI-CHRISTIAN). He didn't directly say this, but he sure as heck implied it.

Nice to see someone has the good sense to STATE THE OBVIOUS here.

The fact is the background checks are a clear violation of the Constitution and the God given right to bear arms.

Next thing you will have to get the governments permission to go to church.

You should not have to get the government’s permission to exercise a right.

Let me say again that had he failed a background check, he would still have found a gun to do this with.

Background checks are worthless. They don’t stop criminals or whacko’s.

Another Obama-era mistake that Trump has to deal with. There are THOUSANDS of mistakes, some costing lives like the MS-13/ILLEGAL ALIEN madness.

He told the truth. He didn’t get a dishonorable discharge and said he had no felony convictions.

Nothing in his past barred him from getting a firearm legally... save for his domestic violence conviction and that was never flagged.

So if you have a customer with basically a clean record, you sell to him on the basis of what you know.

The gun shop is in the clear.

Because telling us the TRUTH about the Vegas massacre might have started a Civil War?

“You should not have to get the government’s permission to exercise a right.”

Hopefully, in the next year, we will finally get a Second Amendment Case into the SCOTUS and if we’re lucky, instead of picking at it like a scab, as they have done for decades, they will finally rule that the 2A is exactly what it has always said it was. Furthermore, their ruling should be written in such a way that it wipes out ALL state laws regarding guns, including universal carry.
